"What's on your mind?" Out of nowhere, Ronan tapped Freya's head with the book he was holding.
Suddenly, Freya snapped out of her daydreams about her past life.
"Why the hit?" Rubbing her forehead, Freya looked up at him.
Ronan replied, "Got something for you, that's why."
Without another word, he pushed a bunch of papers towards Freya, saying, "Take a look for yourself."
As Freya flipped through the documents, her eyes landed on the approval notice for a piece of land in the Southern Suburb.
Seeing this, she couldn't help but exclaim, "Yes!"
Ronan frowned, puzzled, "All this joy over a mere approval notice?"
"You don't get it, I'm about to strike it rich."
Seeing Freya's confidence, Ronan couldn't help but scoff, "Get rich over an approval notice? At best, you're getting some government subsidy, not much there. Besides, the Southern Suburb is just a barren wasteland. Even with the approval, there’s not much to be made."
Of course, Ronan was clueless about the real value of that land in Southern Suburb.
Freya had spent a fortune at the auction for this land, all for the dream of one day building a hot spring resort.
Unearthing a natural hot spring in what was once a barren land was a dream come true for any entrepreneur.
"I've already planned the excavation. Just don't come begging to do business with me later," Freya remarked.
"Don't worry, I have no interest in suburban land."
Truth be told, Ronan had never seen the potential in the Southern Suburb land.
When Freya spent a whopping five hundred million on it, Ronan thought she had lost her mind.
And up to this day, that's what he believed.
Ronan wasn't alone in his thinking; he assumed everyone else felt the same, especially Freya's fiancé, Kieran.
