The Bride Who Said No: Escaping the Shadows of Yesterday novel Chapter 262

Freya would surely rue the day she didn't cling tighter to the Sutton family, the mighty oak tree of social stature and power.

Meanwhile, in the bustling confines of Sutton Group, Kieran emerged from the conference room, his strides confident and purposeful, only to find Flavia perched in his office. His brow furrowed in displeasure at the sight.

"Who let you in?" he demanded in an icy tone.

"No one was around, so I walked in," Flavia replied, her voice laced with a carefree chuckle.

Across the desk was an array of dishes Flavia had prepared. It was a hearty lunch comprising three dishes and a soup, all seeming quite lavish for a midday meal.

"I wasn't sure what you liked, Mr. Sutton, so I prepared several. Hope it suits your taste," Flavia said, approaching him.

But Jarrett stepped in before she could get closer, effectively blocking her path. "Ms. Miller, Mr. Sutton is exhausted and needs to rest. Please leave now."

"What do you mean? When I arrived, you told me to leave, and now, after waiting for half an hour, you're asking me to leave again? Are you deliberately making things difficult for me?" Flavia's brows knitted together in visible annoyance.

Kieran, however, walked over to his desk, dialed a number on the desk phone, and spoke in a detached tone, "Come up now." He hung up abruptly, not giving Flavia a chance to argue.

Seeing Kieran's cold expression, Flavia suddenly felt a rush of panic.
