The Bride Who Said No: Escaping the Shadows of Yesterday novel Chapter 308

"I'm here for the study materials."

The message was short and to the point. Standing at the front of the classroom, the class representative couldn't help but gulp as he looked at the figure in a black suit waiting at the door.

"Here... Here you go..." Carefully, he handed over the review materials to the intimidating visitor.

Without another word, the man in the black suit turned and walked out of the classroom. As soon as he was gone, an eerie silence fell over the room.

"Who was that guy?"

"How would I know? I told you not to post that stuff in the group chat. Now look what happened!"

Jenny prepared some review materials, but she had done so with the mischievous intention of pranking Freya. She had gathered outdated textbooks from over a decade ago.

If anyone studied from those materials, they'd be in trouble.

"Is Freya even going to show up?"

"I bet she won't. How could she face anyone now?"

"Yeah, after being dumped by Mr. Sutton, I wouldn't show my face at school, either."

Jenny stomped her foot in frustration, upset that her plan to lure Freya out hadn’t worked.

Soon enough, Hans brought the review materials back to the Tyler Mansion.

Freya had been poring over countless books in preparation. Seeing the materials Hans had brought, she couldn’t help but laugh. It was another petty trick by her classmates.

"That's because you're not used to working hard. It’s normal for your wrist to ache from handwriting if you’ve never done it before," Preston said, his tone indifferent.

Freya rolled her eyes inwardly. His comment was as helpful as saying nothing.

"Still, to reach this level in just two days is impressive. The exam shouldn’t be too difficult for you. You don’t need to come here so often anymore."

Preston casually placed the paper on the table.

Freya was secretly thrilled. She had much to handle with the Southern Suburb project and needed to stay in touch with Ronan. Preston’s constant supervision made that difficult.

"You seem quite pleased."
