The CEO Gets What He Wants novel Chapter 320

The second couple to file for divorce was a young pair, both of whom looked to be in their early twenties.

The man wasn't bad-looking, although he stood out among the crowd due to his blond hair. The gold chain on his neck made him all the more flashy, and he had a pair of ripped jeans on.

He had both hands in his pockets and a lecherous gleam in his eyes.

The young lady next to him had the face of an influencer. She wore colored contact lenses that made her eyes pop to a slightly frightening degree. Moreover, it was clear that she had undergone surgical procedures judging from her unusually sharp chin. She also had a face full of thick makeup and a cigarette between her fingers, making her look distinctly unapproachable and mature for her age.

“Reason for divorce?” the female staff inquired before furrowing her brows. “Smoking is prohibited inside this building. Please head outside if you want to smoke.”

“Well, f*ck you, you nosy b*tch! It's not like my smoking affects your work, so cut the bullsh*t and file my divorce already!” While the influencer looked rather demure, the words that came flying out of her mouth ruined her image in an instant.

The female staff turned red in fury at her words.

Just as she was about to lose her temper, her male coworker tugged on her shirt, reminding her not to get worked up. They were bound to meet all kinds of people in this line, after all.

Thus, the female staff withheld her anger and continued, “Why do you want to divorce each other? Do you not wish to sort things out beforehand?”

The influencer scoffed as she glared at the young man next to her. “Sort things out? Like I'd do that when this dumb f*ck's been going around sleeping with different girls each day! D*mn, I would've never known what a manwh*re he is if I hadn't checked his phone! I'm not about to spend another second with a guy who might have caught some kind of disease from all that screwing around.”

Not allowing himself to be outdone, the blond man clapped back while pointing a finger at her. “You must be quite shameless to talk about me like that when you've been wh*ring around just as much too, but on a different app! If you had no qualms about sharing your sl*tty pictures there, you may as well go all the way and strip yourself naked! But you know what disgusts me the most? It's when I was out making a food delivery to a hotel and saw you checking in with an old, fat baldy! God, I want to rip you apart. Let's just get this over with. I'm done playing with you, so you can go prostitute yourself all you want now!”

The two attacked each other verbally like children at a playground.

It wasn't long until the fight turned physical, and they began to throw punches and kicks at one another.

Avery finally realized what true vulgarity was.

City Hall's divorce department is a scary place.

Allie's insults were nothing compared to this young couple's altercation.

After finalizing her divorce, the influencer turned and walked out in a huff, not even sparing her now-former-husband a glance.

Meanwhile, the young man spotted Avery in the queue as he was about to leave.

Seeing how stunning she looked, he disregarded Dylan's presence and ogled at her, not forgetting to wolf-whistle in appreciation.

Dylan was already in a foul mood from being forced to divorce Avery, and now that she was getting harassed, he finally had an opportunity to unleash his wrath.

He stepped forward and grabbed the young man by the collar. “Who did you just catcall, huh?” he asked with bloodshot eyes.

“I...” The latter was so intimidated by Dylan's looming presence that he found himself unable to speak.

“Are you blind? Don't you see me standing right next to my wife? You sure have some nerve to whistle at her like that,” Dylan continued, his tone taking a dangerous turn toward the end as he lifted the young man off the ground.

The blond lad was close to tears as he struggled relentlessly in Dylan's grasp.

Every couple standing here is obviously waiting to get a divorce, so there shouldn't be any love between them anymore, right? Most of them probably can't even wait to kill each other!

He had decided to catcall Avery because of how innocent she looked, only for her husband to still defend her even as they were about to divorce each other.

“I'm sorry, Sir. I didn't know she was your girl! I won't do it again,” the young man begged while trembling with fear.

Dylan finally tossed him to the ground. “Get lost!”

The blonde dashed out of City Hall the moment he was released.

Then, it was finally Avery and Dylan's turn.

The staff members glanced at them, noting how good-looking and poised the couple seated before them looked.

They look like the perfect couple! Why do they want to leave each other?

They began to ask for the reason behind the divorce.

“Are you sure about this?” the female employee added, feeling it was such a shame that the ideal-looking pair wanted to call it quits. “It's normal for couples to fight from time to time, you know? But at the end of the day, there's no issue that can't be solved as long as you don't let the sun go down on your anger. You both look so perfect for each other; God knows how many other couples out there wish they could be like you! Why do you want a divorce?”

“There's just no love between us,” Avery explained frankly. “Besides, our marriage wasn't exactly voluntary in the first place, so I don't wish to stay with him any longer. Also...”

She paused briefly before getting up to lean into the female staff's ear. “He may look like a gentleman, but don't judge a book by its cover. Not only is he impotent, but he's also severely abusive,” she whispered.

The latter woman turned to Dylan in horror.

She was initially charmed by his outer appearance, but now, all she felt for him was contempt.

I can't believe it. He looks like a prince, but it turns out he's useless in bed and abusive! It's no wonder she wants to leave him. There's no way such a lovely young lady like her could ever put up with his violence. He deserves to be alone!

Dylan felt uncomfortable from the way the woman stared at him as though he were a deviant.

Godd*mmit, what's with that look? What the h*ll did Avery tell her?

He had a feeling it was definitely not something nice.

All the doubt the female staff felt went out the window in an instant. Perhaps it was because Avery's innocent-looking face appeared too believable, or maybe the former was just partial toward her because they were both women.

In any case, she approved of the divorce immediately after hearing what Avery had muttered to her.

Now that the divorce had been finalized, Avery felt as though a huge rock had been lifted off her shoulders.

She beamed like a toddler while holding onto the divorce certificate, whereas the sullen look on Dylan's face contrasted the woman's demeanor completely.
