The CEO Gets What He Wants novel Chapter 450

Bonnie furrowed her brows when she saw the disk in Nicole's hand. However, she took the disk without any questions.

“I'll do anything for you, Nickie,” she said as she smiled.

To Bonnie, it was not a big deal for her to send the disk to Avery.

Her main priority now was to please Nicole to prevent a rift between them. She was afraid her friendship with Nicole would fall apart.

If she were to lose Nicole's support, she wouldn't have a smooth sail in upper-class society as she did now.

Then, Nicole whispered something in Bonnie's ear again, telling the latter what to do.

After that, she gave Bonnie a threatening look. “Remember, do not mess things up. Otherwise, I'll make sure you get ostracized from this circle.”

Bonnie felt a chill go down her spine at Nicole's threat.

She had no place in this circle, to begin with. If Nicole decided to make things difficult for her, she wouldn't know how to deal with it.

With the intent to ingratiate, Bonnie raised her two thumbs at Nicole and said, “Trust me, Nickie. I'll take care of it. How dare she try to snatch your man? She must have a death wish! Your enemy is also my enemy. Just wait. You can count on me for that.”

Nicole merely grunted after receiving Bonnie's assurance.

“Oh right, Nickie. You want me to seduce a man. Who is it?” Bonnie asked after seeing Nicole's anger seem to have subsided.

“Roderick Fuller, the youngest son of the Fuller family.” Nicole gritted her teeth with hatred as she mentioned his name.

“Roderick Fuller?” Bonnie tried her best to recall all the names of young men from affluent families.

It was as though she was flipping through her phone book. After a few minutes, her eyes suddenly brightened. Oh, it's him.

The Fuller family had an impressive background, both in the military and politics. The eldest son was involved in politics, while the second son went into business. As for the youngest son, he had joined the special forces and was rarely seen in public.

However, Bonnie was lucky and got to meet Roderick once. He was tall and muscular, and his rough image left a deep impression on her.

Thinking of Roderick's toned body and bulging muscles, Bonnie felt her heart flutter.

The Fuller family is prestigious. If I succeed in seducing the youngest son of the family...

Immediately, she flipped her hair, trying to look alluring. “That's not a problem either. Leave it to me. I'll make sure I won't disappoint you, Nickie. However—”

Bonnie, you're such a promiscuous woman. Seeing her readily agreeing, Nicole scoffed inwardly.

“However what?” she asked.

Bonnie looked perplexed. “The youngest son of the Fuller family rarely goes home. I heard that his whereabouts are erratic. Where can I find him to seduce him?”

Nicole was unsure of Roderick's whereabouts as well. After mulling it over, she said, “Don't bother about it. I'll contact you when Roderick returns to Ackleton. Bonnie, you should know that the Fuller family is one of the most powerful families in Ackleton. I'm giving you a chance. Now, it's all up to you and your capabilities to win over his heart.”

Nodding her head frantically, Bonnie said, “Nickie, I'll never forget your kindness if I can marry him.”

Nicole took in Bonnie's ingratiating demeanor and couldn't help but be disgusted with the latter. “That's it for today. I have something to do now and will contact you soon. Remember, you must hand over the disk to Avery.”

Nicole left with her bag only after she received Bonnie's multiple assurances.

A sneer grew on Nicole's lips as soon as she turned her back on Bonnie.

Since Bonnie is passing the disk to Avery, the blame would be on her, not me, when things get exposed.

In the corridor, Bonnie watched Nicole's arrogant retreating figure with disdain.

She cursed inwardly at Nicole.

Who does she think she is? She's merely an orphan who got lucky enough to be adopted by Mr. Lambert. Does she think she's from nobility?

Meanwhile, at Trident Group, Avery, who had always been efficient at work, felt restless for some reason, and her right eyelid twitched violently.

In a trance, she handed over her design drafts from the past two days to Yulissa.

Avery rubbed her twitching right eyelid and sighed quietly. She felt her body's constitution had worsened after she got pregnant.

Nina, who sat across Avery, paused her work when she saw Avery looking pale. Concerned, she asked, “Ery, you look pale. Are you feeling under the weather? Why don't you take leave today?”

Enduring her discomfort, Avery forced a smile. “I'm fine—”

Before she could finish, the stomping sound of high heels was heard.

Then, Yulissa's raging voice sounded. “Avery, is this your design draft?”

Yulissa flung down a design draft before Avery, looking displeased.

Flustered, Avery hurriedly took the design draft and flipped through it. “Yes, Ms. Yantz. This is my design draft.”

“Look at what you've done! The thickness of the load-bearing wall is wrongly marked. Do you think you're a qualified employee, being this careless? Fortunately, I discovered it in advance before sending it to the client. What if the client receives this design draft and builds a building according to it? What if the building collapses in the future? Can you bear such serious consequences?”

As Yulissa criticized her, Avery flipped to the design page of the load-bearing wall and found that the labeling was wrong.

She had made a mistake on the decimal point. Although it was only a decimal point, it was a fundamental error for an architect.

Realizing her mistake, Avery broke into a cold sweat. At the same time, she was grateful to Yulissa for discovering her error. She could not imagine what would happen otherwise.

She lowered her head and apologized to Yulissa. “I'm sorry, Ms. Yantz. I promise not to repeat the same mistake in the future.”

Yulissa glared at Avery's face and continued criticizing her unceremoniously, “The architectural design floor plan does not allow any numerical errors. Do you know how much losses a small mistake could cause the company? Are you out of your mind, Avery?”

Ever since Avery joined Trident Group, Yulissa had tried every means to find fault with her, scrutinizing her work and trying to pick on her mistakes at work. However, Avery had been meticulous and had never made a mistake after working for so long, which upset Yulissa.

Now that she finally caught Avery's mistake, she would seize the opportunity to condemn her.
