Roderick arched his thick brow and stopped trying to rip Nicole's dress apart. He was surprised she would play along with him.

It was as though Nicole could sense his confusion, she wrapped her long legs around Roderick's thighs which were clad in camouflage pants.

Tamping down her disgust, she said coyly, “Roddie, I've missed you. It has been ages since we last met, right? Where have you been? Why didn't you visit me?”

As she spoke, her hands slipped beneath his shirt.

A lecherous grin flitted across Roderick's lips. He replied, “Why? Are you horny just after a few days? I knew those who had slept with me would miss me!”

“Hey, how could you say that? It was all your fault!” Nicole rested her cheek against Roderick's muscular chest. A wide smile played on her lips as she advanced without hesitation.

Even though Nicole was adopted by William, the Lamberts considered her as their own daughter, showering her with love and affection. Roderick was aware of that, so he couldn't figure out who had the guts to threaten her.

Tears pooled in Nicole's eyes. She kept shaking her head but said nothing.

Nicole was aware that behaving in a vulnerable manner might elicit Roderick's sympathy toward her.

Indeed, Roderick's voice turned vicious when he saw her tear-stained face. “What exactly happened? Who has the guts to bully my woman? Be honest with me.”
