The next day, in the presidential suite, the bed shook vigorously as the couple reached their climax. Sexual tension hung thick in the air as her body clenched around him.

A guttural moan escaped his throat as he finished, and they both collapsed onto the bed, spent.

Nicole leaned on Roderick's broad chest and wrapped her arms around his neck. “Roddie, aren't you pleased with me today?”

Roderick lay on the bed with an arm wrapped around Nicole's shoulders while exploring her body with his other free hand. “Come on. What is it that you want from me? You rarely initiate sex.”

He's the reason I'm in such a mess right now. I hate him so much for what he's done to me. And don't even get me started on that b*tch, Avery. If it weren't for her, I wouldn't be in this position. I want her to suffer just as much as I have. Can you help me make that happen?”

Roderick hesitated for a moment, recalling his older brother Vincent's warnings about Cayden's ruthlessness.

Although Roderick hadn't dealt with Cayden much since he had recently been discharged from the military, Vincent had mentioned Cayden's name in relation to his own business dealings, always sounding cautious and apprehensive even though Vincent was a sly businessman himself.
