Ten minutes? Avery widened her eyes in bewilderment. “I-I can't do it.”
Cayden leaned in and lightly rested his lips on hers. He kept rubbing his lips on hers without going in for a kiss. When he saw her getting startled, that was when he started moving in for a kiss.
She turned away and shut her eyes. “I-I'll do it. So don't...”
Cayden got up and went back to the driver's seat when he saw her breathing heavily.
He then rolled down the window and lit a cigarette. He narrowed his eyes, took a puff of the cigarette, and massaged his sore temple with the fingers he was holding the cigarette with.
Cayden was willing to wait for her to prepare herself before going over to kiss him.
Throughout the twenty-nine years of his life, he had been to the brothels more than she had been to the hotels. However, unlike most successful men, Cayden was never one to lead a messy private life.
As Avery said, he could get any kind of woman he wanted just by shooting them a look.
Yet, for some reason, he hated those women a lot.
It didn't matter if they were celebrities or models. None of them could turn his head.
Cayden was ready to just focus on Avery for the rest of his life.
Avery sat up straight and adjusted her seat.
After that, she just sat awkwardly in her passenger seat.
By the time Cayden was halfway through his cigarette, he suddenly turned to look at her.
Sensing his gaze, Avery trembled slightly and bit her lip without knowing what to do next. Do I just lean in and kiss him?
“Come here. I'll show you the ropes.” Cayden reached out his hand.
However, she remained in her seat, unmoving. Cayden was getting annoyed by her unwillingness. With a frown, he uttered, “My patience has a limit, you know? I can definitely stop you from going on the blind date, and there's nothing you can do about it.”
In other words, he wouldn't give a hoot about her father if she were to continue pushing his limits.
When Avery was leaning toward him obediently, Cayden got her to sit on his lap so that she could kiss him with ease.
He opened the car door, and there were trees about a meter away. In the midst of the howling wind, Avery sat in his lap with her back leaning against the steering wheel of the car.
“Do you need me to teach you more?” Cayden lifted his gaze and looked at her beautiful and innocent face.
As her cheeks were beginning to heat up, she gulped and stared at his lips.
Slowly, she leaned in closer to him.
However, she froze the moment their lips touched. His warm breath is burning me up!
Indeed, there was a huge difference between getting kissed forcefully by him and taking the initiative to kiss him voluntarily.
Cayden's thin lips were so hot that she couldn't continue on. Due to her trembling lips, their lips were merely in contact with each other.
“Go on. Do it like how I've been doing it to you.” Cayden lowered his gaze to glance at her. He then shut his eyes and rubbed her nose with his lips. At the same time, he held her awkwardly placed hands and put them around his neck.
Avery kept her head hung low and rubbed her fingers against his shirt. After that, she tilted her head and kissed him. At that moment, she was still panicking and thinking about what to do with her tongue.
After a long while, she finally stuck out her tongue and put it to work.
When she was doing that, she swept a glance at Cayden's naturally beautiful curled lips. Slowly, she shifted her gaze downward toward his neck and alluring body.
Right then, she realized she couldn't carry on. She didn't know how to kiss a man on her own accord.
In fact, Cayden was the one who showed her what was it like to get kissed.
Avery was feeling very awkward with their current posture and position. This is scary. What if I move and hurt his private part?
“You're so innocent.” Cayden had no choice but to give up when he saw how anxious and embarrassed she was.
Suddenly, Avery felt a pair of warm hands rubbing against her back, and Cayden leaned in and kissed her instead.
He had kissed all her insecurities away, and the kiss just kept intensifying.
In the end, Cayden held both sides of her waist. With his neck wrapped in her arms, their body temperature rose, and she started shaking.
Just when he was about to bite her lips, she moaned, “D-Don't bite...”
At that point, she was worried that she would need medical care for her mouth after the kiss.
“Promise me you won't pay your blind date too much attention.” Cayden gradually moved his hands toward her wrists and interlocked her fingers with his.
Avery was at a loss because of him. What is this? Am I supposed to surrender to him after he threatened me?
Soon, they arrived at the venue for the blind date.
Avery went to the restroom the moment she got there. She was still disoriented after going through what happened with Cayden in the car.
No matter how her blind date looked or what kind of person he was, she knew she wasn't worthy of him. After all, which decent woman would do that with another man before going on her blind date?
After freshening up, she exited the restroom.
Cayden's driving was top-notch. Not only was he fast, but he obeyed the traffic laws all the way to the location. Hence, they managed to arrive on time.
As Avery was sitting in the cafe, she grew increasingly apprehensive.
“Miss, would you like to order a drink?” the server asked.
“I'm waiting for someone. I'll place my order later,” she politely answered.
The server smiled and nodded in response.
Two minutes later, a white Maserati sports car arrived at the cafe's entrance. The man that got out of the car was dressed casually, and he was wearing an expensive baseball cap.
“Hi!” the man greeted when he saw Avery.
Avery was shocked. She then stood up and greeted, “H-Hi.”
The man sat down.
Bewildered, Avery asked, “A-Are you Lenny?”
“I am.” The man from abroad who couldn't speak proper Chanaean nodded. He then called the server over to order his coffee. Avery had a surprised look on her face when the man asked, “What would you drink to like?”
“Wait. That's not right. I mean, what would you like to drink?” the man asked again. He was clearly not fluent in Chanaean.
Startled and dumbfounded, Avery answered, “It's okay. I can still understand you. I would like to have a cup of cappuccino.”
After ordering their drinks, Lenny Long started introducing himself.
Avery was in a daze when he talked to her. Although she had studied abroad back then, she had never thought about marrying a foreigner.
Lenny was a gentleman, and he was polite. Avery sneaked a glance at the time and thought that she could just come up with an excuse to leave. Ten minutes is enough. How did Dad end up knowing this foreigner? Also, why would he think of matching me up with this man?
After taking a glance at the Maserati parked outside, Avery was even more puzzled. How did Dad know someone from such a family?
Avery and her blind date were sitting at a table by the window. Since the cafe had floor-to-ceiling windows, one could clearly see the scenery outside.
There was a black Land Rover parked outside ever since ten minutes prior.
Right then, a mature-looking man with an unmissable temperament came out of the Land Rover. He was holding a cup of takeaway coffee that he had ordered earlier to drink in the car.
Avery sneaked a peek at Cayden and wondered where was he heading to.
Lenny raised his brows and asked, “Ery, what do you look for in your significant other?”
Suddenly, Avery saw Cayden walking through the entrance of the cafe and walking toward her. Under the server's guidance, he sat at a table next to theirs.
The moment he sat down, the atmosphere in the cafe turned chilly.
