It was Alden, his eyes blazing as he glared at Victor. Luisa’s heart soared the moment she saw him.
Victor was offended that another man was trying to tell him what to do. He turned his head to glare at Alden.
“Don’t butt your nose into other people’s business. Just get back inside the bar. This doesn’t concern you.”
He began trying to push Luisa into the car again while she resisted. Alden’s whole body tensed up, his eyes narrowing, jaw clenching, and the muscles in his arms bunching and straining against the body–hugging shirt he was wearing.
Luisa knew this was the worst time to be thinking this, but she couldn’t help but notice how hot his anger made him look.
“I said let her go,” Alden said in a voice that was too calm not to be dangerous.
“Fuck off, motherfucker,” Victor snapped, flipping him the finger. “She’s my girlfriend, so stop bringing your presence where you’re not needed. Just leave us alone.”
“She might be your girlfriend, but she clearly doesn’t want to go with you, so fucking let go of her right now.” Alden’s voice had risen a little higher now, ringing with warning.
“Go fuck yourself,” Victor sneered and was just about to shove Luisa into the car when Alden suddenly lunged forward.
Grabbing Victor’s collar, he pulled him back forcefully and jammed his fist against the man’s mouth, causing him to finally let go of Luisa. Victor stumbled a few steps before making a comeback.
He threw a punch, but Alden saw it coming and quickly ducked, landing two quick hits to Victor’s belly. Victor hunched over in pain, clutching his stomach. Luisa was rooted to her spot from fright, but Alden quickly grabbed her hand and protectively pulled her behind him.
“What the fuck is your problem, bastard?” Victor wheezed, his voice much softer than a few seconds ago.
“Stay away from Luisa. Is that clear?”
“Fuck you! She’s my girlfriend. You can’t forbid me from seeing her.‘
“Oh, I am, because she clearly doesn’t want anything to do with an animal like you.”
Victor turned his accusing eyes to her. “He knows your name. That means you already know him. Who is he to you, huh? Is he the reason you refuse to return to New York with me?”
Luisa gritted her teeth. “No, I refuse to return to New York with you because I want nothing to do with you. I’m not going to allow you to treat me like you please anymore, Victor. So fucking go away.”
“What’s going on?” Thalassa’s voice came as she rushed onto the scene with Clark behind her. Her eyes darkened when she saw Victor.
“What are you doing here, Victor?”
“It’s you, isn’t it? You’re the bitch who’s putting all these arrogant thoughts in Luisa’s head.”
“Hey, you better watch your mouth, dude,” Clark warned, standing protectively behind Thalassa.
Unknowingly, Kris had also come out after being told by Henry that Alden had gone out after seeing a man take Luisa away. He watched them with a sour expression on his face.
“Luisa wants nothing to do with you, Victor. You’re not wanted here, so go away,” Thalassa said, not at all

offended by the insult because she knew that was what Victor always thought of her, though he never had the courage to say it to her face.
Victor wanted to grab Luisa again, but looking at all the people who were backing her, he knew it would be fruitless. Perhaps he could try another strategy.
