The Ceo’s Convict Wife by Jennifer Mike novel Chapter 1039

Chapter 1039

But to her disappointment, Warren did not get angry after hearing what she said. The only thing that changed in him was that the disgust in his eyes became more noticeable.

“Since you want to serve others so much, I’ll arrange for you to serve them well,” Warren said.

Irene’s expression changed, and an ominous premonition suddenly appeared. “Warren, what do you mean by that?”

“I mean… Irene, do you really think you can write off everything in the past after five years of imprisonment?” Warren stepped forward, raised his hand, and slapped Irene in the face.

Instantly, she fell to one side by the slap and spat blood from her mouth. Her cheek immediately became red and swollen.

“Irene, your future life will only be worse than that in prison,” Warren added.

Irene raged and tried to rush forward. However, she was stopped by Warren’s subordinates, and they directly pressed her to the ground.

“Besides, I’m warning you. You’d better not think of causing trouble for Amelia. If you dare to hurt her again, not only you won’t have a good life afterward but also your parents. And I’ll surely let you live in misery every day in the future!” he warned her coldly.

“You… Why do you say I’m going to cause her trouble?” Irene was reluctant to admit it.

“If you’re not planning to cause her trouble, why do you come to Strico? Also, do you really think I won’t notice you stalk and follow her whereabouts?” After saying that, Warren turned around and ordered his subordinates, “Let her suffer everything she had done to Amelia before. I want her to suffer it double the price for what she has done.”

“Yes, Mr. York. We got it,” his subordinate responded.

When Irene saw that Warren was about to leave, she suddenly shouted, “Warren! You want me to pay back what I did to Amelia back then. Then what about you? Shouldn’t you need to pay back for what you did? It’s not me but you who was the cruelest to Amelia!”

He stopped in his steps instantly.

Irene’s words were like ruthless thorns, stinging the greatest fear deep in Warren’s heart.

He admitted she was right. He knew he was the cruelest person to Amelia back then.

He even dared not to ask Amelia whether she hated him or Irene more.

Even if Amelia said she had forgiven him, he knew it was because he donated his liver to her. He had used a part of his body to atone for his sins, and because he was Aiden’s father, she was willing to forgive him.

“But… is this kind of forgiveness genuine? Does she really forgive me? Or was it just that she wanted to let go of me completely, so she chose to forgive me? If she didn’t forgive me and hated me, there would always be a spot for me in her heart. But now, have I even lost the place?” he secretly asked himself.

After returning from kindergarten, Rosalie took Guillermo, Jennifer, and Felix to Amelia’s concession stand.

Jennifer insisted on visiting Aiden after hearing about his injury. But Guillermo did not say much. To Guillermo, what he cared about was only Jonathan and Rosalie, as well as the other two siblings who had blood relations with him. The rest were beyond his concern.

As for Felix, he followed Jennifer over.

When Rosalie saw the redness and swelling on Aiden’s face that had not subsided, she knew that it was just a superficial injury and breathed a sigh of relief.

However, when Jennifer looked at the wound on Aiden’s face, her beautiful eyes suddenly filled with tears and then cried out loudly.

As she cried, all the people at the scene were shocked.

After all, the person with redness and swelling on his face had not cried yet, but she, the one who did not suffer any injuries, teared up first.

Not only did Jennifer cry, but she even grabbed Aiden with both hands.

“Don’t cry, don’t cry!” Aiden hurriedly comforted her.

Rosalie asked, “What’s wrong, Jen? Why are you crying?”

“I just feel that… Aido must be in pain!” Jennifer sobbed. She remembered if she made a mistake before, Rosalie would beat her palm as

punishment, which hurt so much.

But at that time, her palms were only slightly red. It was not as red as Aiden’s.

“I’m not in pain. Don’t cry,” Aiden comforted again.

Jennifer blinked, and the tears still hung on her eyelashes. “Really?”

“Yes. It just looks a little red and swollen. But it actually doesn’t hurt anymore,” Aiden answered. In fact, he still felt pain but did not want Jennifer to be sad.

As Aiden spoke, he held a tissue and helped Jennifer wipe her tears.

Jennifer sniffed. Finally, she still seemed worried and raised her hand to touch Aiden’s cheek. “Is it really not painful?” she asked concernedly.

“Yes, it doesn’t hurt anymore. Jen, thank you!” Aiden said with a smile. Jennifer’s tears make him feel warm.

“Aido, if someone hurts you in the future, I’ll help you to beat them! Daddy asked someone to teach me self-defense skills. I’ll protect you by that time!” Jennifer said seriously.

“Okay, I’ll wait for you to protect me in the future!” Aiden added, “And I will also protect you, Jen!”
