The Ceo’s Convict Wife by Jennifer Mike novel Chapter 1040

Chapter 1040

Once Felix returned to Lommore, his identity would naturally change dramatically.

She was surprised that Wyatt didn’t take the child away by force even though Felix was still staying there.

However, she knew that the child would someday return to Lommore.

There was a hint of nervousness in Felix’s eyes as he felt that Rosalie seemed to know his daddy had come for him.

“But I haven’t told anyone!” he thought to himself as he replied softly, “Okay.”

When they arrived at the Youngblood Residence, Jennifer took Felix to the piano room for some practice.

The huge piano room seemed to have become their private territory. Jennifer and Felix played three pieces of classical music in succession.

It would be difficult even for two adults to play such pieces, let alone two children. Even so, the level of coordination between them was excellent. The four little hands moved quickly on the keys without any mistake.

Even after they were done playing, the beautiful aftersound seemed to be still echoing in the room.

Having enjoyed herself, Jennifer turned to look at Felix with a smile and said, “I really like playing with you, Felix. It’s much more interesting than playing with those adults.”

Although she played with some teachers and adults who played the piano very well and even had better skills than she and Felix, she always found it boring.

Playing the piano with Felix, however, would make her very happy and want to continue playing like this in the future.

Unfortunately, her words didn’t make Felix as happy as before. Instead, he said in a dull voice, “Do you only like playing the piano with me?”

“No, I like you too, Felix!” Jennifer said.

“What do you like about me?” Felix asked.

“I like that you can play the piano, and I also like how cute you look! You look like a doll, and I enjoy hugging you to sleep at night. In addition, you treat me very well…” Jennifer counted the numbers of her fingers and finally came up with a conclusion, “Anyway, I love all of you, Felix!”

“So, do you like me more than Reed?” He asked, feeling uncomfortable at the thought of her crying in Aiden’s arms.

Little did he know, the emotion he experienced was known as jealousy.

Jennifer blinked her eyes and said, “I don’t know which of you I like more. I love Felix very much, but I also like Aido!”

A trace of disappointment flashed across Felix’s little face. He suddenly hugged Jennifer, and their tiny bodies were pressed together in front of the piano.

Wanting to be her favorite, he asked in a low voice, “Then… Could you like me a little more?”

“Why?” She didn’t quite understand what he was getting at.

He hesitated for a moment before finally admitting, “Because I like you very much, Jen.” She was the person he liked most in the entire world.

“I seem to like you both very much, though. Hmm… I’ll try and see if I can like you more, okay?” Jennifer muttered.

Felix stared at Jennifer in surprise and said, “Then you must keep your promise! Don’t lie to me!”

“I’m not lying!” she exclaimed while wrinkling her little nose. As she looked at his smile, she suddenly felt that he looked good when he smiled.

Aiden looked at the man in front of him, whom he was supposed to call his daddy.

He had just come out of school when he got stopped by someone and was taken to the car.

“What did you say to Mommy when you kept her with you back then?” Aiden asked. He wouldn’t have gotten into the car to meet this man he hated if it weren’t for his curiosity.

Warren looked at his son in silence. Although they were related by blood, Aiden was glaring at him with a hostile expression.

“I told your mommy that you were being bullied,” Warren replied.

“Don’t tell Mommy that! Whether or not I got bullied has nothing to do with you!” Aiden said angrily.

Ever since he saw what Warren did to Amelia, Aiden told himself that he would never acknowledge his daddy.

“None of my business?” Warren sneered as he continued. “Half of my blood is flowing through you, so you are my son no matter how you deny it. Besides, you’re still under eighteen, so you’re not independent enough yet. Are you really in such a hurry to cut ties with me?”

Aiden pursed his lips tightly.

Warren added, “Besides, do you think you could stand before me now if I hadn’t arrived in time that day? Maybe you would be lying in a hospital by now.”

Aiden’s face flashed with embarrassment, but his eyes were filled with indomitability. “One day, I will become stronger and won’t let anyone else bully me!”

Warren sneered, “Someday? When will it be? Or would you rather continue learning boxing, which is practically useless, and then continue to be beaten up in the future?”

“Boxing is not useless!” Aiden retorted.

“Then let’s go see what can really protect you! If you want to see it, I’ll take you there. If not, you can get off now!” Warren said.
