The Ceo’s Convict Wife by Jennifer Mike novel Chapter 1219

Chapter 1219

Warren’s expression turned cold.

“When the time comes, perhaps it would be an overwhelming pain for you!”

A frigid voice echoed in Warren’s ears.

Warren replied indifferently, “In that case, I’ll undergo hypnosis again and forget it several more times.”

Jonathan chose not to say anything more. After all, when it came to love, it was as clear as day to those who experienced it themselves.

After their meal, Amelia felt a little tired and returned to her hotel room.

Lately, she often found herself getting sleepier as time passed, especially after lunch. She would usually take a nap.

Today, as she dozed off, she felt something pressing on her forehead in her sleepy state. She tried to shake it off but could not get rid of it, no matter how hard she struggled.

“Ah!” Amelia abruptly opened her eyes and saw Warren’s face. The thing that was pressing her forehead was his hand.

He had his hand on her forehead, holding a piece of tissue.

Only then did Amelia realize that Warren was wiping her sweat

“Thank you.” She noticed that she was covered in sweat on her fo chest, and back.

“What’s wrong? Did you have another nightmare?” he asked.

“N-No.” She did not want to tell him that her nightmare was his hand “I’m sweating all over. I’m going to change my clothes.”

Then, she got up and went to the closet to pick out a fresh set of clothes before she turned to look at Warren.

Upon seeing that, Warren turned around with his back to her but did not leave the room.

Amelia did not say anything and began to change her clothes. Due to her pregnancy, Warren would not leave when she changed her clothes in case

of emergency. He would only turn around to give her privacy as he was

scared something might go wrong and go unnoticed.

Amelia’s belly was getting bigger and bigger, so her movement became slower.

After she changed her clothes, she said to Warren, “I’m done.”

Warren turned around and saw that Amelia had not put on her socks. He took a pair of clean socks from the side, squatted down, and put them on for Amelia.

As he did so, Amelia lightly supported herself with a hand on Warren’s shoulder as she raised one foot. “By the way, I ordered a sock aid online, so I can put on socks myself in the future and won’t trouble you

anymore.”

Warren lowered his head and said calmly, “You trouble me in more ways

than this.”

“Sorry.” She bit her lips and said, “You can leave Lommore first if you wish to. Rosalie will stay here with me. Nothing bad will happen.”

“Do you want me to leave?” He raised his head and gazed directly at her.

At that moment, all the words Amelia had in her mind seemed to get stuck in her throat. She did not want him to leave and cherished every day they spent together.

That was because they would never get along like this again after a year.

She just wanted to see more of him and hear his voice, even though he might sound colder than before.

Amelia could not help but gently stroke Warren’s face.

His body suddenly stiffened, and he looked at her with a deepening gaze. “What are you doing?”

She was startled and quickly withdrew her hand. “I just… couldn’t help myself.” She hesitated as she was at a loss.

She thought, “Oh heavens! What am I even saying?”

He continued helping her put on her socks, but his gaze was intently focused on her.

Amelia felt her feet grow hotter, and she nearly lost her balance.

When he finished putting on her socks and stood up, she subconsciously tried to step back.

However, before she could take more than one step back, his hands encircled her waist.

“You couldn’t help it?” His voice was in her ear.

Her face flushed. She opened her mouth and wanted to say something but did not know what to say.

He narrowed his eyes slightly, raised his other hand, and stroked her red lips. “Amelia, you are not a little girl anymore. You should know that the words you just said can easily lead to misunderstandings.”

By now, her feet and lips were scorching hot. “I’m sorry…” she said awkwardly.

“You are?” He sneered. His gaze locked onto her with a complex expression even he himself could not quite understand.

Jonathan said that hypnosis was nothing but self-deception, and he would recall those emotions again someday, leading to overwhelming pain.

He thought, “Self-deception? Will I really remember the feelings that I want to forget?”

“Amelia, you claim not to have feelings for me, so why can’t you co yourself? Are you trying to flirt with me? What’s your real intention face suddenly drew closer to hers.

She stared blankly at his face, which was so close to hers. “I don’t understand what you mean.”

“Do you want me to make it clearer?” he asked. “Are you trying to seduce me like this, to make me develop feelings for you and assist you in more things? Is this your way of ensuring everything goes perfectly when rescuing Riley? Or do you plan to use me for something else? Why not be straightforward about it? There’s no need to pretend like you have feelings for me.”
