Chapter 176
In the past, when people in the law firm were having a gathering, only she would patiently remind the other colleagues who had been drinking not to drive by themselves and get a designated driver.
There was no way such a person would drink and drive on her own.
Zayden thought Rosalie must have been wronged. Yet, as a lawyer, he did not even have the courage to help her clear herself.
That was because he was afraid that her case would be too complicated. Moreover, he was scared of meeting Jonathan.
After all, no one in Strico dared to mess with Jonathan, so Rosalie could only blame it on her bad luck.
Jonathan’s secretary placed a large order in the afternoon for the next few days, and Rosalie was responsible for delivering them.
Besides, Jonathan would make her stay for lunch.
Rosalie had explicitly hinted at Jonathan several times and hoped he would stop doing that again
However, he raised his eyebrows and asked with a smile, “Do you dislike having lunch with me, Rosie? I only hope you can
eat with me.”
Rosalie looked at him silently. His smile, complementing the desire in his eyes, seemed to be getting overboard.
Rosalie felt like she would somewhat fall into a trance when facing Jonathan recently.
When she talked about that topic to Lillian, the latter responded with conviction: [Of course, it’s because of his beauty!]
Rosalie frowned when she saw the word “beauty” and replied to Lillian on the chat: [What do you mean?]
Lillian wrote: [Look at Jonathan’s attractive appearance. Even those male celebrities in the entertainment industry can hardly compare with him. You’re bound to go into a trance for looking at that face every day.]
Rosalie thought Lillian’s words were somewhat correct.
Lillian asked: [Rosalic, what’s going on between you and Jonathan now? I somehow think he may be serious about you If he’s only playing a game with you. I don’t think he would try his best to find me because of your words last time. He wouldn’t even fight Callum for you.]
“Is he serious?” Rosalie turned silent and wondered. She stared at Lillian’s message on her phone and slowly went into deep thought.
When she saw that Rosalie hadn’t answered for a long time. Lillian sent another message: [Rosalie? Are you still there?]
Only then did Rosalie reply, changing the subject: [I’m here. By the way, how are you doing with Callum?]
Lillian replied: [Well, it’s a long story. I’ll tell you the next time we meet. You said you found a job as a delivery woman before. When is your rest day?]
Rosalie: [My boss gives me half a day off after 2 p.m. every Saturday.] After all, a food delivery job would inherently have relatively few breaks.
Lillian: [All right. Let’s meet on Saturday.]
Suddenly, Amelia’s voice sounded. “Rosalie, we have a takeout delivery order.”
Rosalie hurriedly ended the conversation with Lillian, put away her phone, and looked at the packed takeouts from Amelia. Needless to say, she had to deliver them to Youngblood Group again.
When she saw Amelia’s happy expression, Rosalie could only secretly heave a sigh and put the takeouts on the electric
scooler.
She thought, “To be honest, if the diner receives more takeout orders, Ms. Ilaab can make more money, and Aiden can install cochlear implants earlier
Rosalie couldn’t help but feel a touch of distress surging in her heart at the thought of Aiden. She felt bad for the lovely child who had a physical disability. Besides, she had not seen any trace of his father during that period.
Since Aiden shared the same last name as Amelia, she could more or less tell that Amelia might be raising the child alone. In this case, their life would be more difficult.
Rosalie rode on the electric scooter and soon arrived at the building entrance of Youngblood Group. The security guards were already familiar with Rosalie. When they saw her coming, they immediately moved all the takeouts onto a trolley and even helped push it into the building. They pushed it all the way to the elevator and thoughtfully pressed the elevator bulon for her.
As for the receptionist, she greeted Rosalie with a smile and even bowed to show respect.
Rosalie was probably the only delivery person who could enjoy such a privilege.
She naturally knew that it was all because of Jonathan.
Once the elevator door opened and Rosalie walked out of the elevator with the trolley, Jonathan’s secretaries gathered around her, took their takeouts, and greeted her politely.
Those who were unclear about the situation would think she was a senior executive of the company.
Rosalie walked toward Jonathan’s office with two boxes of takeout. She knocked on the door twice and opened it as usual when she heard “come in” from the inside.
However, she was dumbfounded the next moment because many people in suits were still standing inside the office. She had seen photos of some of them on the bulletin board on the wall when she entered the building and knew they were all senior executives of Youngblood Group.
