The Ceo’s Convict Wife by Jennifer Mike novel Chapter 288

Chapter 288

Lillian was almost choked by her food and finally swallowed it. As soon as she looked up, she saw Callum’s deep eyes on her as if he wanted to see through her.

“Well…” Lillian bit her lips and managed an excuse. “Because you… sometimes look very cold, just like… snow lotus, yes, snow lotus that cannot be touched with irreverence and only be admired in a far view. So… I’m… embarrassed to do something intimate with you.”

As she spoke, she felt a pang of guilt and recalled what happened to her after she had done something intimate with Callum back then. Now, she wouldn’t have the courage to do that, even if she intended to!

“Bah! I don’t have the intention,” Lillian said to herself at once. She didn’t want to get involved with Callum anymore.

“But why didn’t you think that way back then? Instead, you even got intimate with me directly?” Callum joked.

Lillian was stunned. If she had known that her mistake would lead to this result, she would never have got drunk. “I was in a drunken state. You know I am a lightweight and easy to get drunk. Then I can’t control what I say or do. I… I didn’t mean to do that…”

Lillian’s voice trailed off just because Callum’s eyes grew colder and gave her an inexplicable feeling of trepidation. Even her saliva was stuck in her throat.

“Yeah, if you did it on purpose, then you wouldn’t have left without saying goodbye the next day,” Callum added.

Suddenly Lillian felt another blow.

Callum beckoned for a waiter to get a bottle of wine. Then he opened it and poured a glass for Lillian.

Lillian blinked and looked at the wine in front of her. Did he want…

“Drink it,” Callum said tonelessly.

“I’m easy to get drunk,” Lillian responded awkwardly. “In that case, I’ll tend to lose control of my behavior and then do impolite things to you again.”

“Let me see how uncontrollable you will be. Don’t worry. If you’re drunk this time, I’ll allow you to touch me with irreverence and not hold you accountable,” Callum continued.

What?

Lillian blushed. She thought, “Did he know what he was talking about? He is seducing me with those words!”

Ignoring Lillian, Callum poured himself a glass alone and gulped it down. At that moment, only wine could suppress his surging anger. He told himself not to care about the heartless woman!

Lillian ended up drunk. She sipped her first glass under Callum’s threatening state, but after that, she found the wine was quite delicious and had more. When she realized that she had been drinking too much, she was a bit tipsy.

“What time… is it? I… I must be getting back…” Lillian stumbled up. If she didn’t go back, she was afraid that her parents would nag her again.

“It’s after 10 o’clock. I’ll take you home.” Callum held Lillian and recalled her state last time when watching her drunk face.

“If… If I misbehave with you later, just… throw me out of the car… Lillian murmured. She was tongue-tied and couldn’t speak clearly, with a glazed look in her eyes.

Callum glanced at her and took her out in silence. Outside the restaurant, Callum’s driver was already waiting there.

Callum helped Lillian into the car and said to the driver, “Go to Ms. Quinn’s house.”

The driver drove the car slowly, while Callum looked at Lillian sitting by his side and leaning against him.

Now Lillian’s cheeks were red. She narrowed her eyes and rested her head on his shoulder. The car seemed to reek of alcohol.

Lillian was drunk, but Callum was still sober.

Sometimes, he wished that he could get drunk as easily as she did. Maybe he wouldn’t think so much when he was drunk.

Suddenly, Callum froze there because Lillian’s hand began to move slowly along his chest.

Lillian was so restless when she got drunk.

“Lillian, do you know what you’re doing?” Callum asked Lillian, but soon, he gave a self-deprecating smile. He thought, “Why did I ask a drunk woman? Maybe she didn’t even understand my question.”

But Lillian responded, “Yes, I know. I’m fondling you…”

That was good that she knew it. Callum sneered, “Aren’t you worried you’ll regret it again after you sober up?”

Despite saying that, he was a little reluctant to pull down Lillian’s hand on his chest.

This time, Lillian ignored Callum and continued to fondle his chest while murmuring.

A while later, she raised her head slightly and tried to straighten up. “Callum… Callum, I… I’ll tell you a secret…”
