The Ceo’s Convict Wife by Jennifer Mike novel Chapter 406

Chapter 406

In the VIP ward of the hospital, Leonard sat on the bed and looked at his grandson, who was sitting a few steps away. “I heard that you

broke up with that woman?” he asked.

Jonathan looked calm. He wasn’t surprised that Leonard would know about the news so soon.

Naturally, Leonard had his own network of spies within the Youngblood residence. Hence, despite his extended stay in the hospital, Leonard remained keenly aware of all the happenings within the Youngblood residence.

“Yes, we broke up,” Jonathan said indifferently.

“That’s why you should have listened to me from the beginning. That woman is not the right match for you!” Leonard gave his grandson a sharp look. “Fortunately, you’re not like your father. You know when to step back before it’s too late. Otherwise, you would have followed in your father’s footsteps in the future!”

Suddenly, Jonathan sneered and looked up at Leonard. “Grandpa, you’re the one who arranged for Dr. Erickson, the psychiatrist, to come to the Youngblood residence, aren’t you?”

Leonard’s face showed a trace of surprise, but then he admitted frankly, “Yes, I arranged for someone to secure the services of the doctor and bring her to the Youngblood residence.”

However, Leonard was surprised that his grandson was able to figure it out so quickly.

“Grandpa, you really spent a lot of effort for me to break up with Rosalie,” Jonathan said coldly.

“I only helped you uncover the truth. You’re the one who made the decision, right?” Leonard continued, “She is the girl that Calvin really wants. You were afraid that she would go to Calvin’s side and do so much in secret. It’s quite unexpected.”

At first, Leonard asked people to investigate by following the clues of the psychiatrist. However, the deeper he delved into the matter, the more shocking he was.

It took so much effort for Jonathan to keep Rosalie by his side. It showed how much he loved Rosalie.

Of course, Leonard realized that the result would probably be the same as last time if he forced Rosalie to leave Jonathan. Jonathan would defend the woman, and nothing would have changed in the end.

So he changed his way that time.

Obviously, Leonard was satisfied with the outcome at that time. Rosalie and his grandson had finally broken up.

As Jonathan looked directly at the old man who had raised him, his thin lips tightened into a thin line.

People in the Youngblood family liked to control others. Just like Jonathan, he wanted to control Rosalie’s life, while Leonard also aimed to influence his life.

They had inherited the traits of their bloodline, but….

Jonathan rose from his seat and slowly approached Leonard’s bedside. He leaned in, his bright eyes brimming with a bloodthirsty hostility at that moment,

His sexy lips parted as he said, “Grandpa, please don’t try to control me. If you insist on playing this game again, I might really lose respect for you.”

Leonard was surprised. Then, Jonathan stood up and walked out of the ward.

Only Leonard and his personal assistant remained in the ward.

Suddenly, Leonard chuckled and remarked, “Well, well. You are truly a worthy descendant of the Youngblood family! How ruthless you can be!”

Jonathan was so ruthless that he didn’t even take his family into consideration.

Only then could the Youngblood family continue to stand in Strico.

could

Leonard’s laughter filled the cold ward again.

Jonathan got in the car and drove toward Youngblood Group.

He looked down at his hands. When he was in the ward just now, he had an impulse to kill someone.

He pondered, ‘Is it because I don’t like Grandpa trying to manipulate my life, or because I have orchestrated my breakup

with Rosalie?

No, it’s my own decision to break up.

Even if Grandpa didn’t intervene in this matter, I’m afraid I might still break up with Rosalie.

As long as Calvin is still in Rosalie’s heart, I will always be afraid of losing her. I will always be afraid that one day, she will betray me.

Instead of being so afraid all the time, it would be better for me to cut off my relationship with Rosalie.

It’s just a woman and just a relationship that lasted less than a year. She means nothing to me!’

Jonathan could not escape the slight pain that began to gnaw at his chest, even though he had comforted himself with those thoughts.

Just thinking about her seemed to make him feel painful.

“Oh, that’s Ms. Leighton,” Carlos said suddenly from the front row.

Jonathan’s body suddenly trembled as he looked out the window almost instinctively.

Then, a slender figure caught his eye at the roadside not far ahead.
