The Ceo’s Convict Wife by Jennifer Mike novel Chapter 442

Chapter 442

Jonathan exited the car and stood there frowning as he heard the commotion and screams coming from inside the bar.

Meanwhile, Carlos observed Jonathan’s expression cautiously before suggesting, “Mr. Youngblood, this place is quite crowded. Shall I… go inside and bring Ms. Leighton out?”

“No, I’ll go in myself,” Jonathan said coldly.

Just then, another silver Porsche sped by, stopping abruptly in front of the bar as a slender figure gracefully exited the car.

The surprise on the man’s face was evident as he fixed his gaze on Jonathan. Jonathan was also momentarily stunned when he saw the man get out of the Porsche.

Both men made eye contact and remained silent as they stared at each other.

As he watched the scene, Carlos, standing nearby, couldn’t help but find the situation somewhat amusing. That wasn’t something one could see every day, after all.

Finally, Jonathan took the lead in breaking the silence. “Are you here for Lillian?” he asked.

Callum’s eyes lit up at the mention of that. “Could it be that you’re here… for Rosalie?”

“If that’s the case, let’s leave later with the one we came for,” Jonathan suggested.

When Callum heard that, he immediately thought, “Well, it’s pretty obvious Jonathan is here looking for Rosalie.”

He rushed over because Lillian, who had gotten carried away, took a photo of the lively stage and posted it on her Instagram.

When he saw it, Callum immediately checked the location tag under the photo before asking someone to find the exact address and rushing over.

Lillian had told him that she had to work on a project and couldn’t meet him for the weekend, but it turned out that she was enthusiastically ogling handsome men in the bar.

Callum clenched his teeth in dissatisfaction as he remembered the caption under her Instagram photo: [Watching five handsome guys tonight. What am I going to do? They’re all my type!]

“How dare she mention that they are all her type? Didn’t she say that I’m the only one she likes? Little liar! I’ll teach her a lesson when I get to her!” he thought.

He initially thought she had sneaked in alone to enjoy herself and was surprised to discover she had brought Rosalie along.

Sure enough, Callum was even more surprised to find Jonathan right at the entrance to the bar.

“Who we came for?” Callum suddenly chuckled and continued, “Mr. Youngblood, I seem to recall that Rosalie has broken up with you, so she can’t be considered yours, can she?”

Jonathan’s face turned horrible as Callum finished speaking.

Jonathan turned around coldly and walked into the bar alone.

Meanwhile, Callum rubbed his nose and followed suit, pondering, “I just hope that Lillian hasn’t gotten too carried away in the bar! How dare she get carried away with another man when she already has me? I need to talk seriously with her later and find out who she really has feelings for!”

The bar was a cacophony of voices. A medley of women’s screams, declarations of affection, men singing their hearts out, and the background music merged into a chaotic symphony.

Callum immediately spotted Lillian, who had already climbed onto a table and was waving at the five men on stage. Meanwhile, she was waving a… piece of clothing that looked like a vest. He immediately realized that the vest was a performance costume belonging to one of the men.

Callum immediately assumed that Rosalie would act better than Lillian.

However, that was not the case.

Rosalie was standing on her chair and waving her hands. She occasionally made a trumpet-like gesture with her hands, cheered at the five men dancing vigorously, and had already removed their tops, saying, “Keep it up! Keep going! I’m rooting for you!”

Callum was left speechless by what he had just witnessed and thought to himself, “Rosalie is not the way I remembered her!”

He glanced at Jonathan, standing beside him, trying to read his expression. Although the dim lighting in the bar made it hard to see how dark his face was, Jonathan’s expression made Callum feel an involuntary pang of sympathy for Rosalie.

He was sure Rosalie had no idea how to handle the situation of being involved with a man like Jonathan.

Jonathan’s current demeanor gave Callum the feeling that there might be more to the story, even though they had broken

Jonathan stepped forward and reached out, lifting Rosalie right out of the chair before scooping her into his arms

To his surprise, she didn’t resist at that moment. Instead, Rosalie wrapped her arms around his neck and said with a smile, “Jon…”

Jonathan’s body trembled as he heard her address him. He also noticed her bright smile, which was quite different from her usual aloof demeanor.

Then, his gaze met her slightly tipsy eyes before glancing at the empty beer cans on the table. It suddenly dawned on him that she had been drinking.

Jonathan thought, “What am I thinking? I’m pretty sure she’d only call me ‘Jon’ with a smile after a few drinks.””
