The Ceo’s Convict Wife by Jennifer Mike novel Chapter 472

Chapter 472

When Warren sat back in his car, his hand unconsciously brushed the spot where Amelia had grabbed him.

It was the first time she had taken the initiative to hold onto him since they met again.

When she held onto him, he keenly felt her trembling hand.

Even when he peeled her fingers off his arm one by one, he could still sense the coldness in her fingertips.

It was like… a dead man’s hand!

“Stop thinking!” Warren told himself not to dwell on Amelia anymore and closed his eyes.

No matter how Amelia played the victim, Warren was determined to make Aiden acknowledge his roots and return to the York family.

Rosalie wanted to find a favorable clue as soon as possible, so she continued to follow the route the vehicle had taken on the night of the accident.

She had even posted online in a forum to reach out to any drivers who might have recorded valuable evidence on their dashboard camera during the night of the accident, specifically in areas where there were no surveillance cameras, and asked them to contact her.

However, after posting the message, it seemed to disappear into the void. No one responded at all.

Yet, it made sense. Given that it had been so long since the incident, even if a driver’s dashboard camera had recorded something useful, it was likely overwritten by now.

Moreover, the chances of a driver passing by that route on that specific night and seeing her post were slim.

Rosalie continued her investigation while observing the surroundings for any signs of surveillance cameras. However, the police had already checked and confirmed that there were no surveillance cameras in the vicinity of that route.

As Rosalie walked and thought, she habitually checked the forum on her phone to see if there were any replies to her post.

To her surprise, someone had responded. They claimed to have driven past the scene that night and had captured two women exiting a car on their dashboard camera.

The

person even asked Rosalie for her contact information.

Rosalie’s heart skipped a beat. She wondered if she could really be this lucky and found evidence.

She immediately sent a private message to the person, providing her phone number.

But what she didn’t expect was that her phone rang with an unfamiliar number within a minute.

Rosalie picked up, and a stranger’s voice came through the other end, asking, “Are you Rosarory?”

Rosarory was Rosalie’s forum nickname.

“Yes, are you Weston?” she asked. Weston was the driver she had messaged earlier.

“Yeah, where are you now? I can bring you the dashboard camera footage right away,” the person replied.

“I’m currently out handling some matters. If it’s convenient for you, we can arrange to meet at my office,” Rosalie said and provided her office address. “Of course, if you’re busy, I can come to you if you prefer. Whatever is more convenient for you.”

“I’m also out at the moment. Why don’t you tell me where you are, and I’ll come to you? I assume this is quite important if you’re in such a hurry,” the person suggested.

The person was… incredibly considerate and helpful.

Rosalie was eager to get her hands on the dashboard camera footage, so she shared her current location.

“It’s not that far from me. I can be at your location in about ten minutes. Just wait for me,” the person said.

“Okay,” Rosalie replied with a smile.

It seemed like things were going smoother than she had imagined. She would soon have strong evidence.

Once Aubrielle was proven to be the real culprit, they could stop her from transferring her assets in time. Then, Larry would finally receive compensation!

With those thoughts in mind, Rosalie felt considerably better.

In less than ten minutes, she saw a white ordinary van coming towards her and pulled up in front of her.

The door of the van opened, revealing a man who was wearing sunglasses and a cap. He remained inside the van, not stepping out of the van as he asked Rosalie, “Are you Rosarory?”

Rosalie’s gaze shifted to the man in the driver’s seat, who was also wearing a cap, sunglasses, and a mask.

A sense of instinctive danger suddenly surged within her. She took a step back unconsciously. However, in the next moment, the man who had been asking her questions suddenly lunged at her, pulling her forcefully into the van and slamming the door shut with a resounding thud.

“Go!” the man ordered the driver while dragging Rosalie.

The driver stepped on the accelerator and the van began to drive forward.

Rosalie struggled, realizing that she had underestimated the darkness in people’s hearts.

Unfortunately, the place she had been earlier had no surveillance cameras at all. It seemed that the other party had known this, which was why they had dared to make such a bold mové.

“This bitch, let’s teach her a lesson so she doesn’t get too arrogant!” the driver in the front seat said coldly.

“Can I have some fun with her? It’s been a while since I played with a woman!” the man restraining Rosalie added.
