The Ceo’s Convict Wife by Jennifer Mike novel Chapter 496

Chapter 496

His heart raced because of her gaze. It was as if it wanted to tell him something. It seemed that his body, heart, and blood were telling him how important she was to him.

He could hear his heartbeat extremely clearly at the moment.

He walked toward the figure step by step, just wanting to get closer to her. All he wanted was to see her eyes more clearly and let her beautiful eyes reflect his figure.

Calvin walked toward Rosalie, one step at a time. The next moment, he stretched out his hand and held Rosalie forcefully in his arms.

Rosalie was startled. She did not expect Calvin to suddenly hug her in public. Not to mention that he hugged her so tightly that she could not break free at all.

“Calvin, let go of me,” Rosalie piped up.

“I’m not going to let go. I won’t let you go this time!” he mumbled as he tightened his hold on her waist, seemingly intending to ingrain her into his body.

Only when he hugged her like this would the fear gradually subside. His empty heart seemed to be filled again.

All along, he believed she was just how he had pictured the little girl turning out to be. He thought that since she was not the one he was looking for, he could easily treat her as a stranger and never care about her again.

Even if she really collapsed and bled to death in front of him, he could remain indifferent.

However, when he saw her standing for so long at the party that night and limping away when she left, he felt a pang of

sadness in his heart.

Later, he saw that she and Jonathan were together again. When he went to her firm to look for her and saw that she was in danger, he did not even think too much and rushed over.

It seemed that he subconsciously did not want her to get hurt at all.

When he reviewed the surveillance footage, he saw that she had left the area that the surveillance camera was recording and vanished. Noticing that she had gone missing, he felt extreme fear for the first time because of someone else.

All he could think about at the time was making sure nothing bad happened to her. He would not know what to do if -something terrible happened to her.

At that moment, even his motivation for continuing to live was unclear to him. His life would be meaningless without her.

“Admit it. Even if I don’t want to admit it, I have to.” There was a voice in his heart.

Without him realizing it, Rosalie already held a special place in his heart. He could not get her off of his mind, and he yearned to be with her.

“Calvin, please loosen your grip and let me go….” Her voice rang out again in his ear.

“Let her go? How could I possibly let her go? Because of Jonathan, I had repeatedly let her go/This time, I want to listen to my true feelings,” Calvin mused.

“Rosalie, I have told you before that I wouldn’t let you go because…” He paused for a while and finally said the three words he had never said to another person. “I love you.”

“Yes, I love her. I have fallen in love with her. I’m madly in love with her!” he remarked inwardly.

Rosalie was taken aback and almost thought she had misheard.

“W-What did you say?” she asked in surprise.

“I love you!” he repeated. “So I won’t let you go for the rest of my life,” he murmured. Instead of sounding as cold as usual, his clear voice was filled with longing for her.

“How is that possible?” Rosalie wondered. “Calvin, are you kidding me?” she questioned out loud.

“I will never joke about such a thing!” Calvin raised his head, held her face with both hands and fixed his gaze on her. “Rosalie, I really love you!”

She widened her eyes in surprise, and her eyes were full of disbelief.

Fiona, who closely followed Calvin, was also in shock.

Earlier, Calvin heard from those who reviewed the surveillance footage captured from the road that the car stopped at the entrance of the police station, and all the people on it got off.

Thus, he drove over in a hurry before the call ended.

Because of that, Fiona did not manage to get into his car, so she had to take a taxi to the police station.

Little did she know that she would witness such a scene as soon as she arrived.

“Calvin actually said he loved Rosalie! How could he love Rosalie? He should be in love with me! Many people on the internet have finally mistaken me for his girlfriend. If I try harder, I can make him publicly admit that I’m his girlfriend. But now…” Fiona thought.

Fiona stared at Rosalie with jealousy, feeling that Rosalie was trying to rob her of her wonderful and glorious future.
