The Ceo’s Convict Wife by Jennifer Mike novel Chapter 518

Chapter 518

She looked at the person in front of her in surprise and wondered, “What does he mean?”

“If you won’t love me and want to forget me because we broke up, then… let’s get back together like before,” he said.

Jonathan never changed his decision. However, this time, he took back his words and slapped himself in the face just because that person was Rosalie. He could not take it if she did not love him and would forget him.

eyes.

Rosalie laughed out loud. She laughed so hard that her nose stung, and her tears could not help but flow out of her

Back then, Jonathan had easily broken up with her and had caused her to fall from heaven to hell on her birthday.

Now, he said he wanted to get back together with her like before. However, she could not be like how she was before again.

“What? Are you going to love me again?” asked Rosalie.

Jonathan’s eyelashes trembled slightly, and his eyes became darker. In fact, he had never not loved her.

He thought he could let go easily, but in the end, she was the one who did it.

“If I love you, will you love me again?” Jonathan asked hoarsely. He would love Rosalie and put his life and emotions in her

hands.

These days, he finally understood that the moment he had fallen in love with her, it was already destined that he could not escape, and his struggle would be in vain.

However, in his ears, Jonathan only heard Rosalie’s voice saying, “Jonathan, I won’t fall in love with you again.”

All of a sudden, he felt as if all the blood in his body had frozen.

Meanwhile, Calvin looked at the investigation report sent by his subordinate on his phone. If Rosalie were there, she would be surprised because it was a medical record of various injuries she had suffered in prison.

As Calvin browsed through the pages, his expression became colder.

Rosalie’s injuries were far more severe than he thought. Moreover, the injury on her fingers was actually caused by Yvette and Zachary. He could not imagine what she had felt going through all those sufferings.

Calvin had always watched people and things with cold eyes, but he could not do that when it came to Rosalie.

“Yvette… Zachary…” Calvin murmured those two names. He would find a way

to avenge Rosalie.

“Mr. Gunner, Ms. Haberly is here. She said she has something important to tell you,” the butler reported after he walked into the study.

Calvin put away his phone and ordered calmly, “Ask her to wait for me in the living room. I’ll come over soon.”

“Yes,” the butler answered and left the study.

Calvin raised his hand and touched his heart, which hurt for the woman who had suffered so much in prison.

If it were anyone else who had suffered injustice and torture in prison like her, their spirit and will would have been destroyed long ago.

However, she persisted in striving for her survival and future. Even if her life had long gone off track because of that injustice, she started all over again.

That woman might seem weak, but she was far more tenacious than ordinary people.

That image of Rosalie reminded Calvin of the little girl from his childhood again. He could not help but think it would be great if only that little girl were Rosalie and not Fiona.

The reunion with Fiona only made him understand that imagination and reality were different and that people would also change.

That little girl used to be full of a sense of justice and hoped to do justice for others. Fiona, however, just wanted to live a lavish life.

Regardless, it did not matter. Since Fiona was his savior, he would give her the life she wanted and satisfy her requests as long as they were not overboard.

Calvin got up and left the study for the living room.

When Fiona saw Calvin, she immediately showed a hesitant expression and said, “Calvin, I came to you today to tell you something, but… I don’t know if it is right to say it.”

Calvin looked at Fiona coldly. In fact, there was already something wron

with talking like that.

To put it bluntly, she just wanted to talk about that thing. That move was only to show that what she did was out of goodwill and not malicious.

In Calvin’s eyes, such a trick was too low.
