The Ceo’s Convict Wife by Jennifer Mike novel Chapter 602

Chapter 602

He took a deep breath and turned to look at her. “Someone sent these to you, and you really don’t know who it is?”

Fiona trembled slightly at his words, feeling like his eyes could see through everything.

“Of course, I have no idea who sent them. If I knew, I would go to them and ask why they sent these.” Fiona wore an aggrieved expression. “Calvin, could it be that you think I orchestrated this? I know you like Rosalie, and you only see me as your savior. If that is the case, I do not see why I should do this. I would much rather you be with Rosalie than with someone I am not familiar with. That way, even if you marry Rosalie in the future, you will be able to tolerate me. There is no need for us to cut ties or anything!”

Fiona spoke pitifully as if she truly meant it.

Calvin tightly pursed his thin lips, staring at, Fiona. After a moment, he picked up his phone and dialed a number. “Help me investigate someone named Lucas Graham. He used to work at the Environment and Sanitation Administration, and I’ll send you his photo in a moment.”

With her eyes downcast, Fiona couldn’t help but let out a sigh of relief when she heard Calvin’s words. Her eyes sparkled with triumphant joy.

Everything was unfolding exactly as Loretta had predicted. All she needed to do now was add fuel to the fire, and she would be able to end Rosalie and Calvin’s relationship.

She would only have a chance if they cut ties.

In the evening. Lillian chatted with Rosalie online and said, “I’ll be leaving Strico in two days to find Callum.”

Rosalie was surprised. “You’re leaving Strico? For how long?”

“Around 10 days or so. I have not used my annual leave yet this year, so I figured I would take advantage of it now. I am not sure why, but after going through that life-threatening experience, I really want to be with Callum. Even though he has not been gone long, I have a strong desire to see him,” Lillian responded.

“Does he know?” Rosalie asked.

“I haven’t told him yet. I’m afraid he might not agree. But before he left Strico, he told me that he had secretly arranged for bodyguards to protect me. So if I go to look for him, those bodyguards will probably inform him,” Lillian said.

“He is probably concerned about your safety, especially given the White family’s current situation. First, it was Josephine, and who knows who will be next? Why don’t you stay in Strico and await his return after he has settled the White family’s affairs?” Rosalie suggested.

“I understand his concern. Even if I stay with him, there is not much I can do to assist him with what he needs to do. But all I want to do is be by his side and face things with him. I also realize that staying by his side for too long may become a burden, so I will only be with him for 10 days,” Lillian explained. In reality, she had intended to resign before meeting with him.

“Callum will definitely handle the White family’s matters well. I’ll be waiting to be your bridesmaid when the time comes,” Rosalie said.

“I believe in him too. He can definitely handle it!” Lillian looked at the time and realized it was getting late. “When I come back, let’s meet up and have a nice meal.”

“Sure,” Rosalie agreed, ending her online chat with Lillian.

The recent car accident had made Lillian realize how much she loved Callum. “What about me? What have I learned from this car accident?” Rosalie pondered.

She then thought back to Calvin’s bloodied face and how he had stumbled over to her car. Over the past few days, those scenes seemed to keep resurfacing in her mind..

She wondered if she had developed feelings for Calvin.

Even though she did not think she would ever fall in love with anyone else, she was not sure she would be completely uninterested in him.

Just as Rosalie was lost in thought, her phone rang. When she looked at the caller ID, she saw Calvin’s name.

She pressed the answer button, and Calvin’s clear and slightly elegant voice came through. “I’m sorry to call you so late.”

“It’s okay. I haven’t slept yet. Is there something you need?” Rosalle asked.

“I just have a sudden desire to hear your voice,” he said.

She was taken aback by his words, and she didn’t know how to respond.

“Rosalie, if you like Transformers, I can buy them for you. Any model from the past is fine,” he added after hesitating for a

moment.

“N-No need. I used to like them when I was a child, but I’ve outgrown playing with them now,” she hurriedly replied.

“Is that so?” His voice paused for a moment. “I actually don’t know how to win a woman’s heart.” After all, it was always other women who tried so hard to win his favor in the past.

As long as he gave those women some money or access to the entertainment industry, they would show ecstatic expressions and constantly flatter and fawn over him.
