The Ceo’s Convict Wife by Jennifer Mike novel Chapter 745

Chapter 745

After the doctor and nurse left, Rosalie looked at Jonathan, who was still standing in the ward.

At that moment, he stood not far from the hospital bed and seemed surrounded by a sense of loneliness and despair.

Rosalie pursed her lips and said, “After the baby is born, I… want to move out of the Youngblood Residence.”

Jonathan suddenly raised his head and looked straight at her. His face was full of shock and panic. “You want to… move out from the Youngblood residence?”

“Yes,” She replied. “Because I don’t know how to face you. Maybe it is better for us if I’m to move out of the Youngblood Residence.”

She could find many reasons for that decision. For example, he didn’t really spend time with her, for she was just a nobody to him. Another reason was that he was a cold person in the first place, how could he sympathize with someone insignificant? And again, he just stood by and didn’t get himself involved in it. She could find more than one reason, but she couldn’t convince herself. Her belief from childhood was to fight for justice, so she chose to become a lawyer and would use the law as a weapon to seek what she regarded as justice. However, the person she loved most once let her be unjustly sent to jail with indifference.

Her experience in prison had almost changed her life. Maybe only time could slowly heal the pain and damage.

“What do you mean it’s better for us? I never thought that it would be better if you moved out of the Youngblood Residence!” Jonathan hurriedly walked to the bedside. He subconsciously wanted to grab her but stopped when he was about to touch her.

His hand was only a few inches away from her shoulder. He could reach her if he stretched forward a little. Despite the short distance, for him, they seemed to be tens of millions of feet apart.

The scene of her vomiting and the way her body shivered were all clearly imprinted in his mind.

“Just pretend it’s better for me then. And also… I want to find another place after I’m discharged from the hospital. Just help me find a small apartment, preferably near a hospital. It will be more convenient for prenatal examinations,” Rosalie said.

Since she couldn’t face him now, it would be better to allow both of them to calm down. For her, the most important thing now was the children in her belly. She must let them be born into this world safely.

However, what she said only reminded him of one possibility.

“So, are you planning to divorce me?” His voice came out hoarse and trembling. Rosalie was stunned. “Divorce?”

Although she didn’t know how to face him, she had never thought about divorce. The vulnerability written on his face when he said this made her heartache.

The truth made her so miserable that it made her hate him for acting indifferent back then. She couldn’t understand why he would refuse to show some sympathy to an innocent person for the sake of benefits. However, he was the man she loved the most after all! He was the father of the children in her belly.

She once said to give the children a warm and beautiful family.

But now, she didn’t know how long it would take to make her wish come true.

“I… I never thought about divorce,” Rosalie said after a while.

But her answer didn’t make him feel better. His eyes fell on her bulging abdomen. “Is it for the babies? You won’t divorce me, but you don’t want to look at me and don’t even want to live in the same place with me. Am I right?”

“I…” She didn’t know how to answer for a moment.

“In that case, you live in the Youngblood Residence. I will move out. As for divorce, since you haven’t thought about it, then don’t ever think about it.”

He was willing to sacrifice everything he had in exchange for her forgiveness, but not for the price of her leaving him!

He didn’t care whether she wanted to escape from the Youngblood residence or run away from him. He wanted her to stay in the Youngblood residence as if she would never leave!

After saying that, Jonathan turned around and walked out of the ward.

A moment later, a nurse came in. It was the one who had been taking care of Rosalie at night for the past few days.

“Mrs. Youngblood, Mr. Youngblood asked you to rest well and said that he won’t enter the ward anymore, so you don’t need to worry about anything,” said the

nurse.

Rosalie was silent. She lay on the bed and slowly closed her eyes. She stroked her abdomen with her hand as she tried her best to calm herself down.

Rosalie mused, ‘Being calm is the best for the children!

What should I do? Can I forget the pain he inflicted when he stood by and did nothing for his own interests? Can I do that?’.

Suddenly, she thought of what he had said before. He told her that if he had known her earlier, he would not have let her suffer so much.

At that time, she only thought he meant the hardships she had suffered in prison.

But in fact, there was another layer of meaning in his words!
