The Ceo’s Convict Wife by Jennifer Mike novel Chapter 760

Chapter 760

“No, she won’t die.” Instead of Amelia answering Aiden, it was Warren who spoke.

Warren walked over to Aiden, saying, “She must still be alive.”

Aiden had an apparent resistance toward Warren because when he saw the latter heading toward him, Aiden immediately stood before Amelia. It seemed like he was afraid that Warren would mistreat Amelia, and he had the responsibility to protect Amelia.

Even though Aiden was just four, he was a cautious and alert boy.

His action upset Warren, but Warren knew he couldn’t release his frustration or complain because he brought it all on himself.

Initially, Aiden had been attached to him and smiled at him like a child would smile at their father. Aiden would also want Warren to lift him and sit on Warren’s back while calling Warren his daddy.

But now everything had changed. Warren’s ignorance had pushed Aiden away from him.

“Don’t worry. Daddy won’t hurt Mommy. No matter what happens, I won’t hurt her again,” Warren murmured.

He knew that he would spend the rest of his life in atonement.

Amelia took Aiden’s hand, turned around, and walked toward the bus station.

A sadness flashed across Warren’s eyes before he trailed behind them..

And so, Amelia and Aiden walked in front while Warren walked behind. As the bus arrived, Warren suddenly questioned, “You… Don’t you have anything to say to me?”

Amelia turned around and looked at Warren indifferently. “I appreciate that you are willing to help me look for Rosalie. But other than that, we have nothing to talk to each other about.”

“She has nothing to say to me,” Warren thought.

Warren stood still before the bus station after the bus left, feeling the bitterness spread in his heart.

Amelia no longer had anything else to say to him when he had so many things to tell her now.

Warren mused, “But… At least, she is still alive. The greatest blessing to me is ensuring Amelia remains alive.”

Warren thought of when he last saw Jonathan. The latter was worn and depressed-looking, merely carrying on with his life based on willpower only. Jonathan was so unlike what Warren had seen before. In such a short time, the loss of Rosalie was enough to ultimately defeat a powerful man who almost

controlled the financial lifeline of Strico.

Jonathan’s strength in Strico was well-known. No one would expect him to be easily destroyed. But the truth was that the disappearance of Rosalie had managed to crumble Jonathan to pieces.

If Jonathan found Rosalie’s body in the future, he would be no different from being alive or dead.

As for the financial empire of Youngblood Group, it might collapse then.

Warren sighed inwardly. “Is the future situation of Strico going to change drastically?”

Time passed, but there was still no sight of Rosalie. Although the search range was expanding, and even the search of the sea area had been extended to adjacent cities, no one held on to the hope that Rosalie was alive anymore.

No one thought Rosalie was still alive. It was just a matter of them discovering her body sooner or later.

Carlos gently pushed open the room door and looked at Jonathan. The top man of Strico was currently curled up on the floor in a mess as he hugged the clothes that Rosalie used to wear.

On the surrounding floor were all photos of Rosalie from different stages in her life. Her bright smile was captured in every photo from childhood to adulthood.

However, the sweeter her smiles were in these photos, the sadder the reality was. “Mr. Youngblood,” Carlos said gently. “The company needs you. We will also need your approval on some projects we will launch. If you continue like this, then…”

“Have they found Rosie yet?” A dry, raspy voice interrupted Carlos’s words in a low mumble. Jonathan’s eyes were still closed when he asked the question.

It was like Jonathan was still hugging Rosalie, the woman he loved, with her scent wafting up his nose.

Jonathan didn’t want to wake up from this dream because there would be endless suffering and torture if he did.

“No…” Carlos replied. It had been more than 40 days. The search team had outright declared that the big fishes in the sea might have consumed Rosalie’s body. Thus, her body would not be found.

However, Carlos didn’t dare to say those words to Jonathan.

Because if he did, Jonathan would go insane.

“Rosie, tell me where you are, please?” Jonathan held the clothes in his arms tighter, almost burying his face into them. “You said you wanted me to live well, but how do I live well if I can’t find you? How do I live…”

“Mr. Youngblood, you need to calm down. Mrs. Youngblood would be upset if she saw you like this from the afterlife,” Carlos advised.

But his words seemed to have crossed Jonathan’s forbidden line. Carlos froze the
