Chapter 768
The person who shoved Jennifer was Agyness. As for the little girl clutching the other half of the photo, that was Wrenna, the Youngblood family’s adopted daughter. Rosalie had come across pictures of this mother-daughter duo online.
Before Rosalie could speak, Agyness released a scornful snort. “Daddy’? What kind of mother allows her child to mistakenly address someone else as ‘Daddy’? Does your child even have the right to call Jonathan by that title? And tell your daughter to apologize to mine. How dare she hurt my daughter? Do you even know who my daughter is?”
Agyness continued arrogantly, “If it weren’t for my daughter watching this restaurant on TV and insisting on coming here for a bit, I wouldn’t have set foot in a place like this.”
With Agyness’s current status, such an ordinary restaurant was beneath her and Wrenna’s standards.
Unexpectedly, Wrenna got into a conflict with Jennifer. The reason was that Jennifer dropped a photo of Jonathan from her pocket and boldly insisted it was her father’s picture.
“Daddy?” Agyness scoffed as she looked disdainfully at Rosalie and Jennifer, who were seemingly ordinary.
Jonathan could only be the father of one daughter-Wrenna. “In the future, he could only be Wrenna’s father,” Agyness thought with determination.
With her piercing gaze fixed on Agyness, Rosalie responded coldly, “Of course, I know who your daughter is. She is the adopted daughter of the Youngblood family. Right? Whether my daughter has the right or not is not for you to judge.”
Considering the current setting with children around, Rosalie chose not to make her words too harsh.
However, the mention of “adopted daughter” deeply affected Agyness. She disliked hearing others label Wrenna as merely adopted. Those who usually flattered Agyness were cautious, only referring to Wrenna as the eldest daughter of the Youngblood family.
“It’s not for me to judge? You’re shameless when it comes to climbing the social ladder. I don’t know how you got hold of that photo and dared to make your child call someone else ‘Daddy! Do you wish to be the lady of the Youngblood family? Dream on!”
Due to past events, the Youngblood family had eradicated every trace of photos associated with Rosalie, causing all pictures of her on the internet to be removed.
While Agyness knew that Jonathan’s late wife was named Rosalie, she had never seen her photos. Consequently, she remained oblivious to the fact that the woman standing before her was Jonathan’s legitimate wife.

“Why don’t you take a look at your character? Who’s the shameless one here?” Lillian confronted Agyness directly. Despite Jennifer being Jonathan’s biological daughter and her friend being the wife listed on Jonathan’s marriage certificate, they were insulted in this manner, which infuriated her.
Angered by Lillian’s words, Agyness lunged forward to slap the latter. Rosalie promptly reached out, intercepted Agyness’s hand, and said, “It was just a dispute between kids. As an adult, why are you getting involved? Do you intend to escalate the situation?”
Accustomed to flattery since Wrenna became the adopted daughter of the Youngblood family, Agyness could not tolerate this indignation. She swung her other hand, attempting to strike Rosalie.
Amid the chaos, Lillian jumped into the fray as she was unwilling to see her friend being hit. The three women ended up entangled in a messy confrontation. Meanwhile, the two children, who were originally in dispute, held onto their respective halves of the photo, wide-eyed as they watched the unfolding scene. The restaurant staff quickly intervened by separating the three women. However, despite their efforts, all three women bore some marks from the altercation. Agyness was the worst off. Her meticulously styled hair now resembled a bird’s nest, and she was missing a false eyelash. She also had a lipstick smear at the corner of her mouth.
The restaurant manager, upon recognizing Agyness, was taken aback. He exclaimed internally, “This is the woman associated with Mr. Youngblood, as per the online gossip. She had recently opened a chain of beauty salons and maintained good relations with the city’s elite. Such a person must not encounter any issues in our restaurant! Otherwise, our establishment might face closure in a matter of days.”
The manager quickly approached Agyness, saying, “Ms. Sabatini, are you okay?” In a fit of rage, Agyness exclaimed, “How on earth did you allow such a person. into the restaurant? If anything happens to my daughter here, you’ll have Mr. Youngblood to answer to!”
The manager continued to apologize profusely.
Meanwhile, Jennifer glanced up at Rosalie and Lillian, whispering, “Mommy, you and Aunt Lillian were in a fight with someone. Mommy, didn’t you say we shouldn’t fight?” Initially shouldn’t fight?” Initially thinking Rosalie had called her over due to her scuffle, Jennifer was surprised to find Rosalie and Lillian entangled in the dispute.
“Now, Mommy can’t criticize me anymore,” Jennifer wondered.
Rosalie tenderly caressed Jennifer’s head, saying, “So, you remember what I said. Avoiding fights doesn’t mean we can’t fight at all. If someone bullies or insults us, then it’s okay to fight back! We call it… ‘Legitimate defense.”
“Got it!” Jennifer nodded, but the extent of her understanding remained uncertain.

“Legitimate defense?” Agyness seethed with anger. Surrounded by onlookers in the restaurant, she felt utterly humiliated. Determined to salvage her pride, she urgently said, “Don’t expect things to end so easily today. I’ll hire a lawyer and sue you, leaving you with nothing!”
