The Ceo’s Convict Wife by Jennifer Mike novel Chapter 843

Chapter 843

She quickly came up with an excuse and said, “That’s what he said, but… You should eat first. You haven’t finished your meal yet!”

When he licked her fingertips just now, it seemed that there was a current spreading all over her body.

“Okay,” he responded obediently, put down her hand, picked up the fork again, and ate dinner. “Does your hand hurt all these years?” he asked.

“Fortunately, it’s the same as before. It will hurt easily when it is wet and cold outside,” she said.

“If that’s the case, do you want to see Mr. Sabatini again?” Jonathan asked. When Jonathan mentioned Levi Sabatini, Rosalie was stunned. She looked at Jonathan in surprise and asked, “Do you know Mr. Sabatini?” Jonathan was stunned, and it was as if he had realized something. His eyes flashed, and he answered, “Well, I know that these days, I remember some previous things. Hence, I also remember Mr. Sabatini.”

“Do you remember what happened before?” Rosalie got excited.

“I only remember certain things,” he replied flatly, in sharp contrast to her excitement. “Do you want me to remember what happened before?” “Of course I want you to…” She paused halfway through her words. “Do I want him to remember what had happened before? If he really remembered what happened when I fell into the sea, how would he feel if he knew that his grandfather had betrayed him? What would happen to his mental state then?” she thought.

For a moment, Rosalie hesitated.

Jonathan stared at Rosalie and asked, “So?”

“Actually, whether you can remember it or not, Jon, I just hope you can be happy!” Rosalie only hoped that if one day he really remembered everything, he wouldn’t be bothered for the rest of his life because of Leonard.

“If Jon’s grandfather hadn’t arranged everything after his death, Jon and I would not have lost five years of our lives. We still have a child missing. I don’t even know if the child is still alive or not!” she thought.

With that in mind, Rosalie’s eyes darkened unconsciously.

“I’m very happy now,” Jonathan murmured. “What about you? Do you

hope to remember the memory of leaving me and the Youngblood family?”

She was stunned, but then she replied, “It’s not about what I’m hoping for. For me, that memory is no longer important. Now I’m back. That’s enough, isn’t it?”

“Yes. You’re back, and that’s enough.” He smiled gently.

It might have been enough for her, but it was still far from enough for him.

He wanted to know the truth about what had happened back then and the real reason she left him. Maybe when he really knew it, he could rest assured.

Otherwise, he would never be at ease.

At night, after the two children fell asleep, Rosalie returned to her bedroom and saw Jonathan sitting on a couch in his bedroom, looking through a document.

Right then, she said, “Jon, I want to tell you something.”

In response, he put the documents on the coffee table in front of him and said calmly, “Okay. Tell me.”

“Well… Yoel said Mr. Smuckler and I faked a lawsuit and put him in prison. Recently, we have been sued for this matter. The public prosecutor’s office may conduct some investigations related to the case between me and Mr. Smuckler according to the regulations. Maybe… Well, there might be some nasty remarks. Maybe Youngblood Group would as well…”

“What? Are you afraid that I will misunderstand something?” Jonathan took Rosalie’s arm and said, “I know. You respected Mr. Smuckler very much. When you were in Lofbury, your mentor helped you a lot, and you had a good relationship with your mentor. As for the Youngblood Group, if such a petty person could smear and affect it at will, the Youngblood family would have been unable to stay in Strico.””

Hearing Jonathan’s words, Rosalie felt relieved.

She was not afraid of the issues concerning outsiders, but she was only afraid that there would be

another conflict with him.

“I’m here. Just stay with me and you’ll be all right,” he said.

Rosalie was moved.

“Also…” She hesitated for a moment, bit her lip slightly, and said, “Today,

the flowerpot fell, and it was Zachary who saved me.”

“Perhaps the bodyguards or drivers who were with me had already reported it to him, but I think I should take the initiative to mention it so that I can reassure him,” Rosalie thought.

She knew that he was suspicious and sensitive, but what she could do was give him as much sense of security as possible and be honest with him.

“I know.” He picked up the document that had been placed on the coffee table and handed it to her. “Do you want to see it? Zachary’s life these years has not been as good as expected.”
