The Ceo’s Convict Wife by Jennifer Mike novel Chapter 873

Chapter 873

“Since you are awake, then wash up. I’ll put all the clothes you need to change in the bathroom for you. After you’ve cleaned up, come out and have breakfast,” he said.

His clear and smooth voice finally returned her back to her senses.

“But… Last night, how did I… You…” Lillian stammered.

Callum smiled sarcastically and looked at Lillian. He then said, “You always drink like that, and are prone to get too drunk. So, you forgot what you did last night, huh?”

Lillian bit her lower lip and stared at him with her doe eyes wide open. At that moment, she looked somewhat delicate and pitiful.

“So, if I tell you that I was going to send you home last night, but you pressed me on your body and kissed me just like when you promised and made a bunch of vows to me, will you believe it?” he asked.

“That’s impossible!” she blurted out.

Fixing his gaze on her, Callum walked to the bedside before bending down. Their faces suddenly became very close. “Which one is impossible? Pressing me under your body or making vows of eternal love to me?”

The woman was silent.

“Lillian, you are a liar!” His thin lips gently spat those words.

Her face turned pale and her heart was stinging because of his words, “I… I was drunk last night. Even if I did or said something, I couldn’t remember it. So… I can apologize to you. I’m sorry!”

After saying that, she rushed out of bed and fled into the bathroom connected to the bedroom.

Bang!

The door was quickly closed by her.

Callum’s eyes fell on the door, and his expression was dark.

する

In the bathroom, Lillian took a long breath and put her hands on both sides of the sink to support herself.

“Last night… Did I really do what Callum said? Oh, my God! How could this happen? How could I do that to him?” she thought.

She should have avoided him and stayed far away from him.

She tried to recall her memories but she couldn’t remember it. The more she thought about it, the more painful her headache stung.

Lillian looked at herself in the mirror in front of the sink. There were traces of red and white on her face, the sign of a good night’s sleep, and a look of panic in

10:00

her eyes.

When Lillian came out of the bathroom, Callum was not there, which relieved her.

She couldn’t find her clothes in the room. The clothes Callum prepared for her all fit her figure, but the price… It was definitely equal to her salary for several years. However, at that moment, Lillian had no other clothes to wear. Therefore, she could only put on the clothes Callum had prepared for her.

Her bag was still there. She took out her phone from it and found several text messages on the phone, all of which were from Rosalie.

Lillian hurriedly called her best friend. “Rosalie!”

“Lillian, how are you? Did something happen last night?” Rosalie asked with

concern.

Lillian was too embarrassed to tell her. It was too late to ask if something had happened last night. As a matter of fact, something did happen.

“What exactly happened yesterday?” Lillian asked hurriedly.

“Yesterday, Jon and I wanted to send you back, but you insisted on calling Jerick. In the end, however, you called Callum and then… Well, he came and said he would send you home, Rosalie told Lillian about what happened in the private room yesterday.

The more Lillian listened to it, the more speechless she became. It was all really making her feel embarrassed to even see anyone right now.

Unexpectedly, it was she who called Callum. She even took the initiative to hug him in front of others, and then… She even said something that could be counted as flirting.

It was true what people said. Drinking alcohol certainly would cause trouble. It seemed that she met Callum every time she drank. It must have looked like she always had something to do with someone forcing themselves on others regardless of their opinions.

Of course, it was her who forced herself on someone else. On the other hand, Callum seemed to be the unfortunate victim of hers.

“Lillian, are you okay? Did Callum send you home safely yesterday?” Rosalie asked.

Lillian could only give a vague answer. “I’m fine. Well, I’ll talk to you later.” After saying that, she hurriedly ended the call.

Then Lillian dialed another number, which was her home. It was her mother who answered the phone.

To Lillian’s surprise, she didn’t get a scolding from her mother. “Mom… Well, I didn’t come back last night because…”

“I know. Your colleague called and said that there was a temporary task in your

office, so you’ve been asked to draw something. Have you finished the task? Did you sleep in the office, or are you going home in the morning to make up for your lost sleep?” Abigail asked concernedly.

Lillian quickly said, “Well… I’ve slept in the office, so I won’t come back home during the day. I have something else to do at the office, so I will come back after work.”
