The Ceo’s Convict Wife by Jennifer Mike novel Chapter 924

Chapter 924

When Stephen and Abigail received a call from their daughter, they hurried to Women’s Health Hospital, only to see her lying on the bed, receiving an IV drip.

“What happened? Why are you suddenly hospitalized? Is there something wrong with the baby?” Abigail asked hurriedly.

Women’s Health Hospital was the best gynecology and obstetrics hospital in the city. There were many famous experts.

“I have to stay in the hospital for a while to keep the baby. I got into a car accident this morning, and the baby is not in good condition,” Lillian said.

“What? A car accident?” Stephen and Abigail were surprised. “And you only called us now when the car accident was this morning?” It was already past four o’clock in the afternoon.

Stephen and Abigail were immediately concerned about their daughter’s injuries from the car accident. They breathed a sigh of relief after knowing that their daughter just hit the bushes and her body was only bruised by the impact of the collision.

“How is the baby?” Abigail asked.

“Not so good. The baby’s heartbeat is very weak, and there is a possibility of miscarriage at any time. The doctor asked me to stay in the hospital for observation for three days first and receive progesterone shots,” Lillian replied, her other hand, which was not hooked up to the IV, resting on her abdomen all the time.

That day, after Callum left, she had asked the doctor to schedule an abortion.

However, when the nurse took the consent form and asked her to sign it, she couldn’t do so. Tears kept pouring out from her eyes, wetting the consent form.

In the end, she didn’t sign it but transferred to another hospital. She went to Women’s Health Hospital and asked the doctor to keep her baby.

Perhaps that is what it’s like to be a mother. Although she told herself rationally that it would be best for her to have an abortion, she was reluctant to do so and didn’t want to kill a possible little life like this. Unless the child chose to leave her, she thought that as long as the child remained in her womb for even a day, she was obligated to protect and nurture this life.

“Your baby is not doing well now. Get Callum to come over. Didn’t he say he would take responsibility for it?” Stephen asked.

“Dad, Callum and I are over. He won’t come to me again in the future. This child belongs to me alone. I will be responsible for this child myself!” Lillian replied.

Stephen and Abigail were surprised again.

“Does he not want to take responsibility again? Is he going to be like before? I’ll go and look for him…” Stephen said angrily.

“No!” Lillian stopped his father. “Dad, I don’t want to be with him! I don’t need him to be responsible for this child. This child is mine!”

Startled, Stephen and Abigail looked at each other. Finally, Abigail asked, “You want to raise this child all by yourself?”

Lillian put his hand on her abdomen and said, “As long as the child can be saved, I want to raise it alone.” “But…” Abigail looked troubled. After all, if her daughter was unmarried and had children, it would be difficult for her to find a good partner in the future.

She had thought that her daughter and Callum would be together again, but she didn’t expect that things would suddenly turn out like this.

“You can’t let go of what happened back then, can you?” Abigail asked.

Lillian knew that her mother had misunderstood her, but she went along with it. “Mom, Callum and I.are not from the same world. Rather than forcing ourselves to remain together for the sake of the child, it would be better to sever ties now. My only regret is that you and Dad may have to bear the brunt of the

gossip when the time comes.”

“Oh, you, your dad and I are old. We don’t care about any gossip. We just hope you can live a better life in the future,” Abigail said, her eyes red.

Giving birth to this child unmarried represented a difficult path and future chosen by her daughter. Lillian’s nose stung. Over the years, her parents had been worried about her, but she had failed to give back anything.

Stephen looked at his daughter and said seriously, “If this baby can be saved, will you really give birth to it without regret? Raising a child is not the same as raising a pet. You’ll have a hard life ahead.” Lillian took a deep breath and said, “I’ve made up my mind. I won’t regret it. As long as the child wants me to be their mommy, I will not give up on them.”

“Well then, have the baby. Our family can afford to raise a child!” Stephen said. Since his daughter had made such a decision, he would take good care of her and the unborn child as a father and a grandfather.

Lillian burst into tears again.

“Don’t cry! It’ll be harder to keep the baby if you keep crying. Stop crying now.” Abigail quickly wiped her daughter’s tears.

“Okay, I’ll stop. I won’t cry!” Lillian tried hard to stop her tears.

Now, she only hoped that the baby in her stomach could be saved.

After learning about Lillian’s hospitalization, Rosalie rushed to the hospital.

She was stunned to know that her friend and Callum were completely over. The day before yesterday, when she and Lillian parted ways, she thought Lillian would be with Callum, but it turned out to be the opposite.
