Chapter 94 

Rosalie did not sleep all night the day before yesterday. As for the previous night, she could not fall asleep because of Wilma’s issue. Thus, at that moment, she felt unsteady while walking. 

After walking for a while, Rosalie brushed against someone. She staggered and fell to the ground. 

Fortunately, the clothes she was wearing were relatively thick. Hence, it did not hurt much. 

Just when she was about to stand up, someone ran quickly to her side and helped her up. 

Rosalie looked up and was surprised to see it was Lucas. 

“Why are you…” 

“My car is parked by the roadside. Let me give you a ride,” said Lucas. Previously, Rosalie rejected Lucas’ offer to drive her home. However, Lucas was still worried about Rosalie, so he followed behind her in his car. 

“There’s no need. I can go back myself, Rosalie replied. 

“You fell after gently brushing against someone’s shoulder. It worries me if you go back alone. My car is over there. If we continue wasting time here, I’ll be fined when the traffic police figure it out, Lucas said.’s 

Seeing that Lucas insisted, Rosalie let out a sigh. She then followed him and got in the car. 

Lucas drove in the direction of Rosalie’s rental home. 

“You don’t have to worry. I won’t force you to do anything after giving you a ride. I know I’m not good at anything; I’m not as capable as your ex-boyfriend. It’s just that I’m afraid something bad will happen to you on your way back. I’ll feel more at ease if I send you home,” Lucas said earnestly. 

“Thank you.” Rosalie said. Currently, what happened in the past was merely like a dream to her. 

“Now, I’m actually the one who is not good enough. How many good-natured men would marry a woman who had been in prison?” she thought. 

“Two days ago, I saw you get into a Porsche. Lucas hesitated as he added, “If you can really find a good partner, I… I’ll be happy for you too, Yet… I’m afraid you will be fooled. You have to get to know him more before-” 

“He is not my partner, Rosalie interrupted Lucas. “It’s just that I found the person’s belongings, so he treated me to a meal to 

thank me.” 

“I see. A hopeful smile seemingly blossomed on Lucas’ face. 

After a short while, the car arrived at the entrance of Rosalie’s residential area. Rosalie looked at Lucas and said, “Lucas, you are a very good person. It’s just that I’m not suitable for you. Please don’t waste your time on the anymore. You will definitely meet someone great in the future.” 

“But, to me, you’re great.” Lucas’ face was reddened as he continued, “I can wait for you… 

“As you’ve said, my ex-boyfriend is a rich man. If I were to get married, the man has to meet the minimum standard. Otherwise, I won’t choose marriage. Thus, we are not suitable for each other. Do you understand?” Rosalie said ruthlessly. Perhaps only in this way could she make Lucas give up. 

“It’ll be better to get over the pain than prolong the agony. Lucas is a great guy. I won’t be so harsh with words if he isn’t being so persistent,” Rosalie mused. 

Lucas looked utterly dejected. He was in a daze as he fixated his gaze on Rosalie. 

“Okay. I’m getting out of the car. Thank you for today. You don’t have to send me home again.” As Rosalie spoke, she opened the car door and got out of the car. Then, she walked toward the entrance to the residential area. 

Behind her came the sound of a car starting and then driving away. 

Rosalie paused in her tracks. As she slowly turned around, she watched the car gradually fade into the distance. 

“Perhaps Hl never get to incet another man as sincere as him in the future. He didn’t treat me with disdain even though I had been in prison. Anyhow… I don’t want him to be implicated, Rosalie thought. 

After the car disappeared from her sight, Rosalie turned around and slowly walked into the residential area. 

At this moment, she did not notice the black Bentley parked by the roadside not far away. Someone in the car lazily glanced out of the window. At the same time, lie subtly raised the corners of his mouth into a faint smile as if he had just witnessed an interesting scene. 

Nevertheless, Carlos, who sat in front, was panic-stricken as he looked at Jonathan through the rearview mirror. “Mr. Youngblood’s current expression… It’s obvious that he’s about to lose his temper!” Carlos exclaimed internally. 

Carlos couldn’t help but blame Rosalie deep down. “Just come back herself when she said she wanted to go home. Don’t she know Mr. Youngblood may overthink things when another man sends her home?” Carlos grumbled internally.

Initially, Carlos thought it was a good thing to let Jonathan meet Rosalie 

However, at that moment, Carlos wondered if he should be worrying about himself. “Please I don’t want Mr. Youngblood to vent his anger on me due to Rosalie, Carlos remarked silently. 

“Mr. Youngblood, this. I think perhaps something happened so Ms. Leighton needed someone to send her home. Carlos said, breaking the silence in the car 

Jonathan raised his gaze and looked at Carlos Smiling half-heartedly, Jonathan asked. “What Do you want to intercede on behalf of her?” 

All of a sudden, a shiver ran down Carlos’ spine. He had no choice but to shut his mouth. 

“Well, it seems like Rosalie is the one who shouldd worry about herself” Carlos thought. 

Meanwhile, Rosalie had already returned to her rental home. After turning on the lights, she put the fast food meal she bought from the cafeteria in the residential area on the table. It cost her 1 dollar and 60 cents. Then, she walked into the bathroom to wash her hands.
