The Ceo’s Convict Wife by Jennifer Mike novel Chapter 956

Chapter 956

Rosalie took a deep breath and began to lower herself onto her knees, ready to kneel. But just as her knees were about to touch the ground, Jonathan swiftly rushed toward her, gripping her arm with one hand and lifting her up.

“Rosalie, how could you…” His lips trembled as he shot her a fierce glare. “How could she push me like this? How could she just kneel like that?” he thought.

“Jon, you can’t bear not forgiving me, can you?” Rosalie held onto Jonathan tightly with her other hand. She knew she was despicable in resorting to such a way to make him stay, to secure his forgiveness.

But she couldn’t bear to lose him like this, to be apart from him once more!

Jonathan’s body tensed, and he found himself unable to counter her words.

Indeed, he couldn’t bear it.

It was as though she had peered into his soul, understanding his incapacity to bear it, and she clung to that incapacity relentlessly.

“Is this my weakness?” Jonathan pondered. Rosalie was his weakness, and even after the pain she had caused him, he couldn’t remain indifferent to her.

With his head lowered, Jonathan gazed at Rosalie and said, “Is that what you truly want, for me to forgive you? Well…” With that, he suddenly took her arm and led her toward the grand hall.

Rosalie struggled to keep pace and nearly stumbled as she followed him. Eventually, Jonathan forcefully pushed her onto a warm bed.

Rosalie sat up, looking a bit disheveled, while Jonathan stood by the bedside, gazing down at her condescendingly. “Undress!” he commanded.

She was stunned, not immediately grasping his intent.

“Aren’t you asking me for forgiveness? Well, show me what you’re willing to do, demonstrate how much you love me!” Jonathan said in a chilly tone.

Rosalie blushed suddenly, realizing his meaning.

She bit her lip and hesitated. “Is this… really the way you want it?”

Jonathan coldly said, “If you find it humiliating, you’re free to leave right now.”

Rosalie clenched her fists slightly as if giving herself courage. Then, she raised her hand and began unbuttoning her clothing with her slender fingers.

One by one, her coat, sweater, t-shirt, and gradually all her garments were peeled away.

Jonathan kept his eyes fixed on her, observing every one of her movements attentively, fully aware of the difficulty she was enduring.

Rosalie had never been an open person, Despite having three children together, her shyness in such matters persisted.

Though there were moments when she desired him, that shyness never waned.

But now, in a situation that would make any woman embarrassed, she was willing to go through with it.

When Rosalie raised her dark eyes to meet Jonathan’s gaze, his heart grew even more tumultuous. Her eyes gleamed with a touch of mist, highlighting her rosy cheeks and the slightly nibbled lip, creating an unspoken enchantment for him.

Jonathan’s heart pounded like a drum, and in this moment, Rosalie was disheveled, while he stood there impeccably dressed. Ironically, it should have been Rosalie feeling embarrassed, but instead Jonathan found himself appearing more disheveled!

Jonathan averted his gaze from Rosalie.

At this moment, all he desired was to calm his emotions, not to let her disrupt his inner peace, and not to allow himself to love her any further.

In recent days, he had continuously reminded himself in this manor not to become a loser again, not to love someone so profoundly; for the deeper the love, the greater the pain when the one you love betrayed you.

Rosalie slowly left the bed and approached Jonathan. She gently cupped his face with her hands and said, “Jon, look at me, please!”

Even in her current state of shyness, what she desired most was to feel her presence in his eyes.

Jonathan gazed at her indifferently and asked, “Even if I do look at you, then what?” However, the tension in his clasped hands at his side betrayed his true emotions.

Rosalie knew the immense effort Jonathan was putting into reining in his desires.

“Jon, we’re a married couple. If there are issues or conflicts, let’s address them now, can we? I don’t want more periods of not seeing each other, engaging in cold wars, and growing apart. You’re the one I love the most, and I want to spend my entire life with you,” Rosalie said as she rose onto her tiptoes and kissed his lips.

His lips felt slightly cool, and she kissed him with caution, each time feeling like a test, afraid that he might push her away or refuse her advances.

But he didn’t.

He stood quietly, allowing her to kiss him. When she tentatively extended her tongue and gently parted his lips, he cooperated, permitting her to deepen the kiss.
