The Ceo’s Convict Wife by Jennifer Mike novel Chapter 962

Chapter 962

“Callum, why did you do this to me? I might have separated you and Lillian in the past, but I also helped you regain the White family. Isn’t that enough?” Madeline questioned Callum back then.

The man looked at her indifferently as if she meant nothing to him.

“Are you being so cruel to me and the Tall family because of Lillian? But aren’t you two separated now? She is not someone worthy of your love at all, is she? You have done so much for her. But what about her? What did she do for you? She has never believed you at all, has she?”

In a split second, Callum’s subordinates forcefully pressed Madeline to the ground. She felt embarrassed and ashamed as they pressed her cheeks against the cold and rough ground.

Callum gave her a condescending look with his cold eyes, which scared her.

“Madeline, don’t mention Lillian in front of me again, or I will kill you!” Callum said coldly.

It seemed that the name was already taboo for him.

“Madeline, the law of the jungle in this world is incredibly simple. Initially, I was weak, and you were strong, so I had to obey you completely. However, the situation has changed, and now I am powerful while you are vulnerable. Therefore, you will have to endure the consequences. I will never let go of those who have harmed me,” Callum stated.

At that moment, Madeline felt consumed by jealousy. She hated Lillian more than Callum.

It was because Callum never forgave anyone who hurt him, except Lillian, who managed to move on and live a normal life despite hurting him. In fact, she was even pregnant with Callum’s baby!

“Does Lillian really deserve it? What does Lillian have that I don’t?” Madeline pondered.

At present, Madeline said icily, “I paid a lot to hire these people. They’re all well-known ruthless mercenary men. They won’t show any mercy.”

As she spoke, she gestured toward the man next to Lillian.

The man immediately raised his hand and slapped Lillian in the face.

Lillian’s cheek became swollen all of a sudden, while Madeline was filled with joy. “Lillian, your life now is in my hands. I can decide whether you live or die!”

Lillian widened her eyes in pain and warned, “If I die, you will be even more miserable when the police catch you. We have grudges, Madeline, but we are not at the point of causing harm to each other’s lives like this!”

Lillian tried to stay calm because she knew she and Rosalie were still under Madeline’s control. She couldn’t upset Madeline, especially since she was pregnant.

“Although we were once love rivals, I have now ended my relationship with Callum. Going forward, I have no intentions of maintaining any contact with him. From the very start, it was evident that his love for me wasn’t genuine. So, why are you concerned about me?”

But after Lillian spoke, Madeline started laughing and looked at Lillian as though she thought Lillian was dumb. “Why does Callum have a crush on such an idiot like you? Do you know why I am not letting you go? Callum cared too much about you, so I retaliated against him in this way. It must have a good effect. I wanted to see what Callum would look like if he knew I killed you and the baby!”

Madeline became crazier as she talked more about it.

Lillian felt a chill run through her body as the realization hit her. Madeline wanted to kill her! “What do you mean Callum cares too much about me? What do you mean?” Lillian was confused. Madeline looked at Lillian with sarcasm. “Do you think Callum broke up with you solely to reclaim the White family?” Even before, she had always believed so, but it was only later that she truly realized that Callum had always been doing it for Lillian.

“Isn’t it?” Lillian had a hard time expressing herself, feeling like her long-held beliefs were about to be challenged.

“Callum’s two brothers plotted against you, and you were badly hurt. Eventually, Callum found you, but you were close to death. He held you, knelt, and personally begged me to save you. You have no idea how

desperate he looked at that moment. Sadly, you didn’t witness it.”

Lillian felt her nerves being pricked by every word that escaped Madeline’s lips. Lillian couldn’t help but think, “Has this ever happened previously? Callum had never mentioned anything!”

“Later, I saved you and kept you safe temporarily. I moved you to the outskirts of Strico. However, I wanted him to end his relationship with you from then on. Of course, the man I was interested in had to be mine alone, so I poisoned him. I obtained a curse through a great effort from an old witch in the past. I infused your blood into the curse and had Callum ingest it. Consequently, he would feel intense pain whenever he touched you, as if arrows pierced his heart.”
