The Ceo’s Convict Wife by Jennifer Mike novel Chapter 961

Chapter 961

Her voice rang beside his ears again. “Jonathan, believe it or not. You won’t meet a woman who loves you more than me in this world!”

“Enough!” he snapped.

Suddenly, everyone participating in the video conference shut up, and no one dared to say another word. Especially the senior executive who was making the report just now. His face turned ashen, thinking there. was something wrong with his report.

Carlos quickly whispered to Jonathan, “Mr. Youngblood, what are you…”

Jonathan opened his eyes and came back to his senses, knowing that he had lost his composure just now. “That’s all for today. Let’s end the meeting.” After saying that, Jonathan turned off the screen of the video conference and stood up to walk outside the study.

He wanted to take a breather first, trying to completely erase the voice that sounded beside his ears from time to time. But when he arrived outside the room, it was as if her voice filled the air outside.

“Jon! Jon!”

“You won’t meet a woman who loves you more than me in this world!”

“You won’t…”

Jonathan suddenly leaned against the pillar on the side of the corridor, panting in a pathetic state.

He thought, “Does she really love me that much? Is she really the person who loves me the most in this world? If she really loves me as much as she claims, why would she…”

Suddenly, rapid footsteps sounded behind him. Then Carlos’ voice echoed. “Mr. Youngblood, something may have happened to Mrs. Youngblood.”

“What do you mean?” Jonathan was stunned.

Carlos hurriedly said, “Well, Mrs. Youngblood asked someone to check the whereabouts of Ms. Quinn and found that Ms. Quinn got into Madeline’s car at the Women’s Health Hospital. She originally wanted people to continue to find out where Ms. Quinn is now, but after a while, she called them again and said that they didn’t need to keep checking.”

Carlos paused, looked at Jonathan’s darkening expression, and continued, “Later, our men found that Mrs. Youngblood left in a strange car. When we called her, she told us she was going out to handle some matters alone and also requested us to tell the kitchen staff to set aside the cooking ingredients she prepared yesterday so she could have dinner with you tonight, Mr. Youngblood.”

Jonathan narrowed his eyes and asked, “Did she prepare any ingredients yesterday?”

“I’ve already asked the kitchen staff, but Mrs. Youngblood didn’t prepare any ingredients,” Carlos said. Jonathan’s eyes gleamed. He thought, “In other words, she claimed something that never happened so seriously and even mentioned my name. Did something bad really happen? Was she using this method to request my help?”

Jonathan immediately said, “Send someone to find out her driving trajectory at once and follow her in secret. Don’t alarm anyone.”

“Yes,” Carlos hurriedly answered and left.

Jonathan felt utterly ill at ease. He thought, “Is she under Madeline’s control? That woman I’ve never taken seriously! I didn’t expect her to be a ticking time bomb! It was my negligence. Since Madeline dared to hurt Lillian once, she would dare to do it again. Since Rosie cares so much for Lillian, shouldn’t I have already anticipated Madeline to target Rosie too? But at that time, after Lillian was harmed by Madeline, Rosie helped my mother and Mr. Smuckler escape from Strico. I was so angry that I completely forgot about Madeline. Rosie must not get hurt. If anything bad happens to her…”

Jonathan’s breathing grew laborious. If someone was by his side at that moment, they could see how pale he looked.

It turned out that all his assumption that he didn’t actually love Rosalie deeply was proven to be the contrary when she was in danger.

When Rosalie saw Lillian as she wished, she knew that her friend had taken the initiative to get in the car with Madeline because Madeline threatened Lillian with Abigail.

At that time, Madeline said to Lillian, “If you don’t get in the car with me, I can’t guarantee your mother, who’s in the bathroom, will remain safe. If you shout now and attract others’ attention or resist, I will immediately press this button to trigger the bomb. By then, your mother will perish as the restroom explodes.”

Lillian couldn’t be sure whether what Madeline said was true or not, but Madeline didn’t give her any time to delay. If Lillian hadn’t gone with her within a minute, she would activate the bomb.

She didn’t dare to risk her mother’s life, so she had to follow Madeline.

She wanted to call the police secretly in the car, but her phone was directly taken away by Madeline, who forced Lillian to lie to her mother.

“Rosalie, I’m sorry,” Lillian said. “I didn’t expect you to be dragged into this mess.”

“How are you? Did she hurt you?” Rosalie cared more about the safety of Lillian than herself.

At that moment, Lillian’s hands and feet were tied up by Madeline. There were also several burly and menacing-looking men beside Madeline.
