"Mr. Turner."
Miles Lopez's voice was cool, deep as a cello. His gaze swept past Jeffrey Turner, pausing briefly on Felicity Lopez before he continued, "Felicity."
"Hey, hey..." Felicity's wave was as forced as her smile.
She knew she didn't want to come!
They hadn't even made it inside Bay Residence before running into each other right at the doorstep!
Just moments ago, Felicity had clung to a sliver of hope that upon entering Bay Residence, she could excuse herself, claiming to feel unwell and wanting to sleep, thus avoiding the encounter.
Talk about bad luck.
She should never have come back home at this time...
"Langston, is this your girlfriend?" Jeffrey was only concerned with satisfying his curiosity, nodding approvingly, "Not bad, not bad. You've got an eye for them, just like your dad!"
Miles hummed softly, lowering his eyes to introduce, "My girlfriend, Esther. This is my dad's friend, Mr. Turner, and... his daughter, Felicity."
"Pleased to meet you, Mr. Turner!" Esther greeted politely, her voice gentle and soft, "And you too, Felicity! Miles mentioned you before; I actually thought you were his sister."
The name did lend itself to that misunderstanding.
After speaking, Esther extended her hand toward Felicity.
Luckily, she had just woken up, so even a slow reaction seemed merely sleepy to others.
"Nice to meet you." Felicity grasped her hand, about to address her by name.
Jeffrey cut in with his usual bluntness, "Honey, why don't you just start calling Esther your sister-in-law? After all, the parents have met, and marriage is just a matter of time!"
"..."
Esther blushed, her eyes filled with the shy charm of a young woman, "Mr. Turner, we're still getting to know each other..."
"Ah!" Jeffrey waved dismissively, "You don’t know, my dear. This family is all about loyalty and deep affection. Once they set their heart on someone, it's for life! Didn't Langston tell you about his parents?"
Esther nodded quickly, "He did, his parents have always been very close!"

The readers' comments on the novel: The CEO's Hidden Love: Midnight Temptations and Deep Desires
Sometimes Karen can be such a drama queen and immature....
For some reason I am now feeling suspicious about Kevin's new girlfriend....
I really hope this Perdita person is not a new villain....
I too echoed the sentiments of pppplllleeeaaaassssseeeeee bring this drama to an end. I beg of you!...
Really please finish this book and upload the full story so it can end. It's been drugout for so long!...
The intimate scenes in this story or uncomfortable to read. They either come off as being forced, painful, or simply not enjoyable....
Okay I left a long while ago and came back. Looks like it's been updated but still not done lol. I'll maybe wait 6 months before coming back and it'll probably still be going on. It's like a soap opera instead of a novel...
Kenneth is confirming something I've been thinking about him for several hundred chapters ago and that is he is a future murder suicide perpetrator. And after reading chapter 1275 yeah it's just brought the thought back....
How could Jeffrey throw the knife down at the scene of the crime with both their fingerprints on there?...
Again no update, so is this where it ends? Or post the whole book. Your dragging this out...
