It was Felicity's first time at his place.
It wasn't as sprawling as the Bay Residence, but it still had a spacious feel to it. Mainly because there wasn't much furniture around.
As soon as she stepped into the foyer, she could see a dark grey couch sitting in the middle of the living room, facing a blank wall where a projector TV was rarely turned on.
The whole house stuck to a minimalist palette of black, white, and grey, a clear sign of a bachelor's pad.
"Make yourself at home, I'll go get Abigail some water."
"Sure." Felicity opened the shoe cabinet, finding no sign of women's slippers inside.
She had no choice but to slip into a pair of his, which were obviously too big, making walking somewhat of a challenge.
Miles knew his sister wasn't feeling well, so he opened the guest bedroom door, helping her inside.
After placing a glass of warm water on the bedside table, he also fetched some snacks and candy, "The doctor mentioned your low blood sugar. If you feel unwell later, have some sweets! For someone who loves candy as much as you do, it's surprising you'd have low blood sugar."
Aurora offered a weak smile, "Okay, you don't need to fuss over me. Go take care of Felicity! I want to sleep now."
"Alright, just call if you need anything."
He stood up, turned off the lights, leaving only a nightlight on, and left the room.
Upon seeing him, Felicity quickly stood up to ask, "Is Abigail asleep?"
"Yeah."
She blinked, "Then since she's asleep, I should probably—"
"Why don't you freshen up and get some rest too? There are two more rooms; pick whichever you like," Miles interrupted, leading the way.
"Langston, I came here to comfort Abigail. Now that she's asleep, I should head back to K&J Mansion."
Keeping a distance from Miles was something she reminded herself constantly.
To avoid falling for the same person in the same place, twice!
"Pick one of these rooms." His words disregarded hers as he pointed to the remaining guest rooms.
"I don't want either."
"Then come sleep in the master bedroom with me."
"..."
Leaning against the wall behind him, his eyebrows slightly raised, Miles looked as if he could take on the world, "I'm fine with that."

The intimate scenes in this story or uncomfortable to read. They either come off as being forced, painful, or simply not enjoyable....
Okay I left a long while ago and came back. Looks like it's been updated but still not done lol. I'll maybe wait 6 months before coming back and it'll probably still be going on. It's like a soap opera instead of a novel...
Kenneth is confirming something I've been thinking about him for several hundred chapters ago and that is he is a future murder suicide perpetrator. And after reading chapter 1275 yeah it's just brought the thought back....
