Everett glanced at his anxious son, grabbed his phone, and said, "Send Felicity's address in Anglonia to Langston's phone."

There was a pause.

Jeffrey hesitated for a moment before speaking up, "Everett, Langston and Felicity have already broken up. Just now at the airport, his ex-girlfriend called to harass Felicity! Who wouldn't be upset about that? I've spoiled Felicity a bit too much since she was little; she can't stand being treated unfairly. You know how much I love Felicity."

"Oh." Everett remained calm, his tone unchanging, "Do I need to remind you who helped you keep Felicity safe back in the day?"

Silence followed.

"If Felicity really doesn't want to, Langston won't force her. I know my son better than anyone."

"Ah, I'm just worried about that old curse!"

"Jeffrey, it's either Langston heads to Anglonia now, or I stop the plane. Your choice."

With the conversation at this point, Jeffrey had nothing more to say.

"Alright, alright, I'll send it now!"

After hanging up, Everett handed the phone to his son.

Seeing him still silent, Everett guessed his thoughts. "You think Felicity walked away so decisively because she doesn't like you anymore, and if you chase her to Anglonia, it'll bother her, make her hate you?"

"…Yeah."

"If she didn't care about you, she wouldn't be bothered by Esther's call." Everett gave his son a stern look, "When it comes to love, you can't expect to have everything figured out before you act. By then, it'll be too late."

He then lowered his voice to a whisper only they could hear, "Don't be like your mom, always wanting to follow the rules to a tee. That's just stubborn!"

With a pat on the shoulder, Everett encouraged, "Go on, I can handle the company for a while."

"I got it, Dad!"
