“Hurts?” It had been months for him too, and on top of that, he was boiling with anger.
There was no way he was going to let her off the hook.
“You can handle 16 inches, just bear with it!”
The ensuing struggle was intense, with Miles not holding back at all, turning a deaf ear to any cries of pain or pleas for mercy.
Poor Felicity...
Already weakened by too much to drink, she eventually couldn't even muster the energy to cry out, only weep.
When he carried her to the bathroom to clean up, he even noticed traces of blood.
“...”
This made no sense.
If she could handle that long, why would...
“Hurts, hurts…”
Felicity murmured with her eyes still closed, too weak to even lift her arm.
He washed her off and tucked her into bed.
Then he got up to fetch the package that had arrived, tearing it open with his bare hands.
What he found inside was truly an eye-opener for Miles!
A clothes hanger?
Yes, indeed.
A 16-inch, adult-sized, extendable clothes hanger.
“...It’s over.”
This was a disaster.
…
Felicity had a long dream.
She dreamed she was up North in winter, watching the snow, when she saw someone selling candy apples ahead.
She ran over to buy one, and the vendor turned around menacingly and asked, “Do you really need the 16-inch? Isn’t the 8-inch enough?”
Felicity wanted to speak but found she couldn’t in her dream.
Then, the vendor forcefully started skewering candy apples for her.
She couldn’t refuse; she had to accept!
“Yeah, I’m fine.”
Felicity stretched her limbs and opened the door, “Mom, did you drink a lot last night?”
“Yep, your dad and I both did! We were celebrating for Abigail.”
“So, how did we get back?”
The whole family couldn’t have just staggered home, right?
Karen waved dismissively, laughing, “Abigail drove us back. Everyone was plastered last night, even Craig!”
Felicity wanted to ask if it was Langston who had brought her home because she had a faint memory of it.
But seeing how certain her mom was, she thought she might be remembering it wrong.
“Hey? Felicity, you going to have breakfast? It’s still warm.”
“I’ll eat later, need to settle my stomach first.” Felicity patted her forehead, “The liquor really packs a punch! Not only does it give you a headache, but your body aches too.”
Even her lower abdomen was sore!
If she hadn’t woken up in her own bed after a night at the Bay Residence, she would have seriously wondered if she’d been carted off by someone in the middle of the night.
Just standing was making her legs tremble. Can you believe it?
