Finally, the delivery room burst with joyous news!
Aurora had given birth.
A six-pound baby boy.
The doctor, beaming with happiness, rushed out to share the good news, her tone revealing a sense of relief that was palpable.
After all, the one giving birth was none other than the golden girl of the Lopez family!
Any mishap could have been catastrophic; the hospital couldn't possibly cover the damages.
"It's a boy! Ms. Lopez and the baby are both safe and sound. The baby's just getting checked out, and then you can hold him! Ms. Lopez needs another hour for observation, but she'll be out soon if all goes well."
Those waiting outside could finally breathe a sigh of relief.
Felicity wrapped her arms around Miles, her eyes welling up.
"Abigail must have gone through so much!"
Miles gently patted her shoulder, comforting her softly, "I'm suddenly grateful... you didn't have to go through this."
To Miles, having a child was just the icing on the cake - not having one wouldn't have been a regret. Being with Felicity was what truly mattered to him.
Compared to losing her, nothing else could compare.
Not having a child didn't bother him. He didn't care about carrying on the family name or having a 'complete' marriage.
Without Felicity, nothing was complete.
"I want to see her."
Craig stepped forward, grabbing the doctor as she turned to head back to the delivery room.
But the doctor instinctively looked towards Everett.
"I'm her husband, the father of the child. I need to see my wife."
Then Dorothy said, "You can see her, but you have to agree to a divorce."
"I won't divorce!"
"Do you think you have a choice?"
"…"
"Craig, both Abigail's father and I have given you chances! Now, it's Abigail herself asking for the divorce, which proves she's lost hope in you."
A mother knows her daughter best. Dorothy understood how deeply her daughter cared for Craig. From the moment she fell for him, she always put him first, never wavering in her loyalty and always defending his honor.
Yet, Abigail had reached the point of requesting a divorce, indicating a profound disappointment.
Craig clenched his fists, "I know I've made mistakes…"
Dorothy gave a wry smile, "Not every mistake comes with the chance for redemption."
