The sheer shock of the news hit Felicity like a ton of bricks.

Aurora couldn't help but chuckle at Felicity's reaction.
"I mean, Craig and I have been divorced for a while. Him having a girlfriend is pretty normal, don't you think? It's not like he has to stay single forever."
"Uh... I just thought he'd always be waiting for you."
For some reason, Felicity always had that notion.
"I don't need him to wait. When I decided to get divorced, that was it for us. If I wanted to give him another chance, I wouldn't have gone through with the divorce."
There were countless times when Craig had hurt her, yet she had chosen to forgive and move on, believing they could work things out. But the moment she decided on divorce, Aurora knew it was truly over.

Aurora thought for a moment and nodded. "Yeah, pretty much. I mean, he's got a girlfriend now, and I'm just the ex-wife. As women, I can understand his girlfriend might feel uneasy about me meeting him. So, why not just avoid any unnecessary drama?"
"Why would she be jealous anyway? Craig wouldn't be where he is today without Mr. Lopez's help! That first big break came from Mr. Lopez's advice! Otherwise, Craig would still be a struggling truck driver!"
Miles chuckled, "No tracker, just good timing. Figured you'd be there around now."
"Yep, we just arrived! Abigail's got some work to do, so I'll be wandering around. If I find any cool souvenirs, I'll grab something for you!"
"Souvenirs in Willowbrook? Just don't get yourself lost." Miles paused, his voice softening with concern, "How's your stomach feeling? Any more discomfort?"
Felicity had almost forgotten about it until he mentioned it. "Nope, I'm feeling just fine. No need to worry."
"Good! While Abigail's busy, make sure you grab something to eat. Order some takeout if you have to, but don't skip meals."
Mimicking his tone, Felicity teased, "Yes, yes, Mr. Butler."

Why didn't Jeffrey call Everett from the office? Lock his door instruct security to not let anyone in and speak to Everett on the phone? Or send him a text giving him a quick summary of what's up and that he's on his way over. That way when he runs into Heather on his way out he informs her Everett already knows....
The children's stories are si boring. This book is like torture. I've put in so much time I have to see this through but it's becoming more difficult....
