He instinctively glanced over, but before he could see who it was, Felicity immediately covered her phone screen with her hand!
Honestly, with that move, how could anyone not get suspicious?
Miles’ brows knit together as he stared at the woman who, just a second ago, had been snuggled up in his arms.
“Even Calvin Hoffman knows you’ve been sick?” he blurted out, not hiding his irritation.
Somehow, whenever Felicity got secretive around him, it always seemed to have something to do with Calvin. And that—well, that was Miles’ Achilles heel.
If it hadn’t been for his parents stepping in, he might’ve missed out on Felicity entirely.

Miles reached over and tapped her gently on the forehead. “So now you’re hiding messages from me, huh? Go ahead, check your phone. Is it something urgent? Should I step out?”
“No, you don’t have to leave… but you can’t peek!” she insisted, unlocking her screen.
Sure enough, the new message was from her doctor. First, there was a photo—some bloodwork results. Not that Felicity knew how to read any of it; she’d never been through this before.
