Everett instinctively looked in a certain direction, like he had some sort of sixth sense, immediately catching Dorothy's gaze.

She saw Everett's car and quickly went over to knock on the window. "Surprised? Bet you didn't expect me to come out!"

Everett chuckled, opened the door, and stepped out, "Hmm, is your mom okay?"

"Nothing was seriously wrong to begin with. She just had a heart attack from the shock, but she's asleep now! The doctors and nurses are looking after her, so I came out." Dorothy knew from Everett's "I'll wait for you" message that if she didn't go back to Bay Residence with him today, he was planning to wait at the hospital the whole time.

So, after handling her mother's situation, she went down immediately!

Everett's workload was already massive,and his rest time was scarce, and now even more so. She wanted Everett to go home and get some proper rest.

Everett asked, "So, can you leave the hospital now?"

"Yes, let's head home."

Dorothy was startled, "She's already had her surgery. Why would we change hospitals? She just needs rehabilitation now, and she can be discharged once she's fully self-reliant."
