No sooner had the words left his mouth than Jeffrey shot up from his chair. The sudden movement knocked over his cup, causing it to shatter on the floor.
“She has a child?! She actually has a child?! Are you sure?!" Jeffrey felt his mind go blank. It was as if he had just been struck by lightning, once and then again.
