But the woman who bore Everett's child must've had a relationship with him. He hadn't been with anyone else during that time, had he?
Wouldn't the biggest suspicion still fall on her?
Kenneth had also thought of this, so he reassured her. "Don't worry. At Langston's age, as long as he doesn't say how old he is, you can't tell whether he's three or four. After your divorce, he probably wasn't celibate. As long as he was with a woman, there's a chance she could've gotten pregnant. We're not giving up any chance to win until the very end."

Why didn't Jeffrey call Everett from the office? Lock his door instruct security to not let anyone in and speak to Everett on the phone? Or send him a text giving him a quick summary of what's up and that he's on his way over. That way when he runs into Heather on his way out he informs her Everett already knows....
The children's stories are si boring. This book is like torture. I've put in so much time I have to see this through but it's becoming more difficult....
