Everett spotted Dorothy just as she was about to duck out of sight.

"Dorothy."

His voice was deep and magnetic, and his tone was steady.

Since she had failed her attempt at hide and seek, Dorothy had to brace herself and march over. "Mr. Lopez, Ms. Heather."

"We'll head out now." The moment she came over, Everett slid into the car.

Heather waved and gave Dorothy a friendly smile. "Take care on the road. We'll discuss our thing when you're back from your trip, Everett."

Only after Heather turned to leave did Dorothy get into the car.
