Dorothy paused for a moment, then let out a light chuckle, "You really do get me, don't you?"
"Oh, come on! Just talking about this stuff makes me want to cry for you. There's no way you're not crying."
Clutching a tissue in her hand, Dorothy stood up, "Karen, when you go back, could you maybe talk to Kenneth? Tell him to stop waiting for me and find himself a girlfriend. I can't hold him back any longer."
"That's tougher than taking down the Lopez family!" Karen rolled her eyes. "Besides, leave him be. He knows what he's doing."
"Kenneth has done too much for me already."
"You are worried that Kenneth thinks you and Everett will be over if you fall out with the Lopez family. In that case, he might stand a chance again. And you assume that’s why he’s not finding a girlfriend now, right?"
Dorothy nodded, "Yeah."
"Don't sweat it. Kenneth's clear on where he stands! He knows you'll never fall for him." Karen had lost count of how many times she had this conversation with Kenneth.
Kenneth was well aware, too, that even if Dorothy and Everett were a no-go, he wouldn't be the one by her side.
"Then why does he still..."
"He's just stubborn! Isn't Everett the same?"
Dorothy bit her lips.
"Honestly, after the spat I had with Jeffrey today, I suddenly realized his life is what you'd call 'real living'! Look at you and Kenneth, and even look at Everett, you are all caught up in this love-hate relationship. But Jeffrey's different. His love life? Easy come, easy go. Sure it's short-lived, but he hops from one fling to another! Never a dull moment."
Karen was pretty open-minded, not the type to cling to the 'one and only' ideal. If things didn't work out, she'd move on without much fuss. She wasn't one to shy away from pillow talk with an ex, but she hadn't reached Jeffrey's level of indulgence.

The readers' comments on the novel: The CEO's Hidden Love: Midnight Temptations and Deep Desires
Sometimes Karen can be such a drama queen and immature....
For some reason I am now feeling suspicious about Kevin's new girlfriend....
I really hope this Perdita person is not a new villain....
I too echoed the sentiments of pppplllleeeaaaassssseeeeee bring this drama to an end. I beg of you!...
Really please finish this book and upload the full story so it can end. It's been drugout for so long!...
The intimate scenes in this story or uncomfortable to read. They either come off as being forced, painful, or simply not enjoyable....
Okay I left a long while ago and came back. Looks like it's been updated but still not done lol. I'll maybe wait 6 months before coming back and it'll probably still be going on. It's like a soap opera instead of a novel...
Kenneth is confirming something I've been thinking about him for several hundred chapters ago and that is he is a future murder suicide perpetrator. And after reading chapter 1275 yeah it's just brought the thought back....
How could Jeffrey throw the knife down at the scene of the crime with both their fingerprints on there?...
Again no update, so is this where it ends? Or post the whole book. Your dragging this out...
