Nobody knew when Hayden showed up, but all their faces turned pale after her speech. The air was pretty tense, but someone suddenly sprinted back to her working desk, “Lena, I will give you the annual plan of the second half of the year before the end of the day. I can also deliver next year’s annual plan by the end of this week.”
Thinking about Dante’s luxurious villa, people all dispersed and went back to their work.
Standing next to Dante, Anna was astounded.
‘This must be the power of money!’
If your employee isn’t hard working enough, it can only mean that you haven’t offered them enough money yet.
After all people went away, Hayden was standing beside Dante in less than two meters of distance. Their eyes just inevitably collided midair.
“Do you have a minute? I got some new flower tea in my office. Do you want to have a taste of the it?” looking at Dante, Hayden had returned to calmness from last night’s exasperation.
Dante let out a rare smile and said, “Okay.”
Hayden’s room was filled with the fragrance of jasmine tea.
Pushing the ceramic cup to Dante, Hayden drooped her head and said seriously, “I’m sorry for what happened last night.”
Dante paused and said lowly, “You don’t have to do this. You are right. I am the one who wanted to send the order to the warehouse. If I didn’t insist, we can at least reduce half of our losses.”
“Someone is trying to mess with us on purpose.”
Hayden’s words were alluding something.
Dante frowned and immediately understood what she was talking about. “The fire brigade said this morning the cause of fire was the aging of warehouse appliances which were accidentally set on fire by some workers who were drinking last night.”
“We don’t have the time to investigate if it’s really an accident for now, but it doesn’t mean we would swallow this provocation. Now, we have to contact as many secondary factories as possible so we can remake the whole batch in half of a month.”
The original deadline for this batch of products in the secondary factory was one month, but the factory’s manager worked 24/7 with its workers and were able to deliver those products one week earlier. After counting all the products that were missing, Hayden estimated that they at least needed half a month to remake them.
“But the deadline in the contract is next week.” Dante replied in concern.
“I’ll talk deferred compensation with Mr. Wright.”
But Dante just pondered for a moment and said seriously, “Don’t do that. I’ll figure something out to deliver this batch of products on time.”
Hayden frowned and said, “Dante, the chances of that are slim. Even all the secondary factories start making our products, we can hardly have the whole batch within a week.”
“But it’s still possible.”
Dante stood up and said, “I’ll handle this. I have to be responsible for this batch of products.”
Then he just left.
Hayden noticed that Dante didn’t even drink the jasmine tea in front of him. She can tell that he was really worried about this issue.
But it was both dangerous and useless to rush on this kind of things. He had been away from the business world for years, so what can he think of?
The day before the deadline, Hayden went to the Joann Group with Anna to negotiate with Mr. Wright on this deal.
But they were blocked by a blue Porsche just when they were about to enter the Joann Group.
