Chapter 107
She gave a soft shiver, instinctively attempting to pull her hand back, but he held it steadfast.
His cool, thin lips enveloped her fingers, gently sucking as if her fingers were sweeter and more delectable than the orange.
For a moment, the icy facade on his face disappeared, a hint of tenderness he’d never shown before emerged from his eyes, creating gentle ripples in his shimmering gaze.
Unfortunately, she hadn’t seen it, her head bowed in embarrassment, her face a deep shade of red.
When she finally dared to lift her eyes, he had realized his lapse, quickly releasing her and regaining his icy demeanor as if nothing had happened.
“I don’t like oranges.” His voice was cold, carrying a tinge of huskiness.
It was as if a chill wind had swept in, cooling her flushed cheeks and turning her blush into a stark pallor
“I’m sorry.”
She buried her hands in her pockets, fingertips still carrying the residual warmth from him, but it quickly faded, leaving them cold.
The car was once again enveloped in silence.
The air seemed to freeze.
No one spoke.
After dropping her off at her apartment, Leopold left.
She took a day to recover and headed to the office the next day.
No sooner had she settled into her chair than Evelyn approached her, a smirk on her lips, “Manager Aurelia, I heard you went on a vacation to Aetherbrook City, was it alone?”
Aurelia eyed her, a mischievous smile spreading on her face, “I didn’t go on vacation alone. Of course, I was with a handsome guy. Actually, I was with two handsome guys, and we had a blast.”
As her words fell, all eyes were on her, faces full of gossip, ready for juicy details.
A cold light flashed in Evelyn’s eyes.
Yesterday, a friend had sent her a message on WhatsApp, saying they saw Mr. Leopold and a woman together in a parking lot on the beach in Aetherbrook City.
She recognized the woman as the model from the “Secret” ad campaign.
Wasn’t that Aurelia?
She was taken aback, flabbergasted. She couldn’t believe Aurelia was secretly vacationing with Leopold!
Unfortunately, her friend hadn’t been able to snap a picture before they drove off.
There was no proof.
She had to get to the bottom of this.
“Never knew Manager Aurelia was such a player, huh?”

Aurelia’s eyebrows arched, a playful smile on her face, “Life is short, and I like all handsome guys, so why
not enjoy it?”
Emma sneered, a mocking look in her eyes, “You have been single for too long and gone crazy, haven’t you?” Cindy burst into laughter, “Manager Aurelia is just kidding, of course. She definitely went on vacation with Arnold. Arnold has openly stated that Manager Aurelia is the most beautiful model in his lens, no one else even comes close. I heard many supermodels are insanely jealous.”
Ever since Aurelia had promoted Cindy to team leader, she had subtly aligned herself with Aurelia.
Aurelia felt awkward, it seemed everyone believed she was dating Arnold.
But she couldn’t be bothered to explain, for the gossip mongers, explanations were equivalent to cover–ups.
As long as no one suspected her of having an affair with the big boss, she was fine.
“Alright, everyone, back to work. Gossip time is over.”
Evelyn returned to her seat, the suspicion in her eyes deepening.
