At that moment, Daniel, the production director, was heading over to Aurelia, with a box of hazelnut cookies in his hand. “My sister brought these back from overseas,” he said. “I know you’re a big fan of hazelnut cookies, so I thought I’d bring you some.” 

“Thank you,” Aurelia responded with a smile, reaching into her bag to pull out a box of nuts. “Interestingly, I know you like these tea–flavored nuts. I got you a box when I saw them yesterday.” 

Daniel laughed, “Manager Aurelia, you know me so well.” 

Aurelia pumped her fist in an encouraging gesture. “Your production team is up next. Go get ‘em, Daniel.” 

“Let’s do this together.” Daniel said, leaving with a smile. 

Watching his retreating figure, Darcy asked in a low voice, “Boss, did you know Daniel was bringing you cookies?” 

“I didn’t, but I genuinely did prepare those nuts for him,” Aurelia answered with a laugh. 

Aurelia loved hiding secrets in her designs. 

But these secrets couldn’t be hidden from the factory, and Daniel was arguably the most important person in the company, save for the CEO. He held all her little secrets, and it was important to maintain a good relationship with him. 

Evelyn, watching from a distance, gave a light smile and commented teasingly, “When I first started working here, I heard that Manager Aurelia was very popular in men and had a knack for managing relationships with male colleagues. It seems the rumors were true.” 

A surge of jealousy was ignited within Leopold. 

He hadn’t expected Aurelia to be such a social butterfly! 

“Stop involving yourself in baseless gossip. It’s beneath you,” he said coldly, causing Evelyn’s face to pale slightly. 

She had meant to chastise Aurelia, but ended up being reprimanded herself. 

“I understand,” she said, deflated. 

When it was the Design Department’s turn to compete, Aurelia stood up, “Good luck everyone in the Design Department. Remember, friendship first, competition second.” 

She didn’t single out her own team for encouragement. As a mid–level manager, she had to show a broader perspective. 

Evelyn also walked over to cheer for the team. How could she let Aurelia do it alone?
