Chapter 155
Leopold, dressed in his designer sportswear, had an aura of nobility that was positively eye–catching. It was hard to look away, and all anyone wanted to do was to gaze at him in admiration.
His eyes briefly swept over Aurelia’s face before he took a seat behind her, with Kevin settling himself beside him.
Aurelia immediately felt a strong wave of pressure coming from behind her. To calm her nerves, she quickly reached into her bag and took out an apple, peeling it to distract herself from the tension.
Looks like the fun times are over now!
Avery glanced at his sister then deliberately turned his head to greet Leopold, “Mr. Leopold, we meet again.” His voice wasn’t particularly loud, but the silence in the bus magnified it, making sure everyone heard it.
The simple word “again” was enough to spark a flurry of speculations.
Leopold gave no reaction save for a slight nod of his head.
Fearful that her brother might say something inappropriate, Aurelia quickly shoved a piece of the apple into his mouth.
Turning her head, she noticed Jenny staring at them in astonishment. She quickly explained, “My brother knows Arnold quite well, so he’s met Mr. Leopold once before.”
With that explanation, everyone seemed to understand.
The rumors about Aurelia and Arnold had been circulating for a while now, and it seemed like they had just been confirmed.
– Aurelia didn’t really care about the rumors surrounding her relationship with Arnold, as long as her secret
with the boss remained hidden.
But Leopold was particularly sensitive to that.
His expression turned icy, a chill gathering in his eyes.
Aurelia quickly took out her phone and sent her brother a message on WhatsApp.
[Don’t provoke the boss, don’t talk to him. The company is full of sharp people, very sensitive. If you say something wrong and cause unnecessary misunderstandings, my career is over.]
[Got it.] Avery sent her a cheeky grin, looking like a mischievous cub.
They arrived at Greystone Hollow.
As soon as Aurelia got off the bus, she saw Evelyn, who had arrived in her own luxury car.
She wasn’t planning on attending initially, but when she found out Leopold would be there, she hurried over.
Avery leaned in and whispered in his sister’s ear, “I bet you the boss‘ another woman will show up too.”

Aurelia gave him a faux glare, “Stay out of the boss‘ business.”
If she accidentally got involved, that would spell disaster.
She signed up for some low–intensity activities, such as fishing, which was perfect for an expecting mother.
On the golden beach, different departments started forming teams for a beach volleyball game.
Each team was comprised of two men and two women.
Aurelia took a seat in the cheerleading area.
Darcy ran over, “Boss, isn’t this one of your favorite activities? You’re not participating?”
Aurelia laughed and pat her brother’s shoulder, “I brought a family member today. He’s stronger than me, let him take my place.”
As she spoke, she took out her sunscreen spray and spritzed it all over Avery’s face and body.
He had to film and record a variety show next week. Getting tanned would affect his looks.
Darcy took a seat next to her, “I’ll be the substitute. Let your brother and Gary go first.”
The games started quickly, with department*l battles first, and the winners would represent their departments in the company–wide competition.
