Chapter 171 

After leaving the hospital, Aurelia and Leopold went their separate ways. 

She was about to get into Yuna’s car when a familiar voice and hand on her shoulder caught her attention, “Aurelia, is that you?” 

She immediately recognized that familiar voice; it was Emma. 

Damn. Elysium is a major city, so why did she run into someone she knew so easily? 

And she was even wearing a black face mask. 

Turning around, she squinted slightly, “What a coincidence, are you here to see the doctor too?” 

“Just having a regular check–up. What about you?” Emma asked. 

“I just had a follow–up for my uterine fibroids,” Aurelia said nonchalantly. 

Emma’s eyes scanned the parking lot, and by now, Leopold’s car had already left. 

“I thought I saw someone who looked like Mr. Leopold with you.” 

Aurelia’s heart raced. Emma had quite the keen observation skills. 

“Mr. Leopold? Are you joking? This is a maternal and child health center.” 

She deliberately put on a shocked and exaggerated expression. 

Emma pursed her lips, finding it strange as well. How could Mr. Leopold be here, and with Aurelia? 

“I just saw a handsome man beside you, and his physique looked a lot like Mr. Leopold. After all, men like 

Mr. Leopold, who are so outstanding and distinguished, are a rare breed on the whole planet.” 

That man was wearing a mask, so she couldn’t see his face, and her assumption was based on his physique. 

She could recognize Aurelia because they worked in the same office every day, so she was quite familiar with her. 

Aurelia sighed and switched to a regretful expression, “Really? A handsome man was standing next to me and I didn’t even notice? I love good–looking men, you know.” 

She sighed, “But, men who come here are probably already married, right? He might have a pregnant wife waiting for him.” 

“I didn’t pay much attention.” Emma shrugged. While Aurelia and the man went in separate directions, her attention was on Aurelia, and by the time she looked back, the man was gone. 

Aurelia got into the car, “I’ve called a Uber, can’t keep the driver waiting. I have to leave now.” She said and then closed the car door. 

As the car pulled out of the hospital, she quickly sent a WhatsApp message to Leopold, preventing any slip–ups. 

After buying some fruit from the supermarket, she headed to Avery Hawthorne’s apartment. Avery was recording a reality show today and wasn’t home, leaving only Jolin Hawthorne. 

Jolin was in the kitchen dealing with an old hen and planning to make soup. 

Aurelia saw the bag of herbs on the kitchen counter and quickly asked, “Mom, what are these for?” 

“These are blood–activating and stasis–resolving herbs I bought from the pharmacy this morning. I’m going

to put them in the soup for you.” 

Aurelia took a deep breath, and quickly put away the herbs.
