She stared at him, “Should I also be keeping an eye on my children’s future stepmother?” 

The corner of his mouth curled up into a mocking, cold smirk, “Sure, if you think you’re up for it.” 

The words were dripping with contempt for her. 

She might not have the skills, but she had courage.
