When Aurelia was rushed into the emergency room, she could no longer muster the strength to stay conscious and passed out. 

When she awoke, it was already nightfall. 

As she opened her eyes, a handsome and familiar face came into focus. 

Leopold’s brow was furrowed, his face as pale as a sheet, filled with worry and anxiousness, and a touch of lingering fear. 

She shivered slightly, hastily reaching to touch her belly, “The babies, how’s the babies?” 

“Our babies are fine.” Leopold reached out, gently stroking her hair, his voice slightly hoarse.

relax.

Leopold fell silent, his face solemn and thoughtful. After a while, he said, “I’ll get you an assistant.” 

Aurelia nodded, aware that the ‘assistant‘ was essentially a bodyguard. 

Word of her pregnancy spread quickly around the corporation, with two versions emerging among the gossipers. The first was that Aurelia had a wild night at a club, ended up with a stranger, and got pregnant. She didn’t even know who the father of her baby was. This was the version Aurelia had spread herself. The other was that the baby was Arnold’s, and Aurelia was about to marry into the Stirling family, becoming the big boss‘ sister–in–law. 

Her relationship with Arnold was no secret, many people knew about it.
