Magnolia choked back sobs, “I’ve struggled to survive until this day, hoping one day I could defeat Jessica and avenge my deceased sister. She has made us suffer so much, separating us for so many years, don’t you hate her?” 

A hint of mockery crossed Arnold’s face, “If you were in her position, you wouldn’t necessarily be any kinder than her. I chose to save you because you’re my mother, you gave birth to me and I owe you for that. But that doesn’t mean I’ll sacrifice my happiness for your ambition.” 

Magnolia’s lips trembled, “Without Leopold, Aurelia will naturally return to you. He is the biggest obstacle between you two. As long as he is around, Aurelia can’t be with you. He was born to compete with you, to snatch your position, your woman, don’t you hate him?” 

Arnold fell silent with hatred in his eyes.

Belinda and her husband, Edwin, moved into a villa.

She was quite healthy, without any issues with her limbs, but she just liked to be assisted by a maid. Because she had seen it on TV shows that all the rich ladies had maids assisting them.

Edwin lounged in a deck chair, listening to a tune, “This villa is nice, but I’m going to miss my chess partner.” 

“There’s a community center in our neighborhood where you can play chess or golf. When Jolin comes over, we’ll have her show us around and introduce us to everyone,” Belinda suggested. 

“Sounds good,” Edwin agreed, then asked, “Has Ritchie been released yet?” 

“He got released a couple of days ago,” Belinda confirmed.

Aurelia and Jolin arrived with a Durian, Belinda’s favorite. After trying it at their place, she couldn’t stop asking them to bring some over. 

She wasn’t shy about it. At her age, she deserved to enjoy herself. 

Belinda called Edwin over, her eyes twinkling, “Edwin, come and try this. This is the best type of Durian, Leopold had it flown in from Malaysia.” 

Edwin waved his hand, “I don’t care for that stuff. Enjoy it yourself.”
